Here's an alternate EXTERNAL_GPS.skin that adds an OSK button.

Just remove the ".txt" from the end and copy/paste into the skin folder replacing the old one.

Oh, you'll have to edit the button code that will bring up the OSK for destinator as I have no idea what the command is.

Thanks man, but the button just needs to open the standard MMI osk. I tried that with an other skin an that works fine. What do I have to add in the .skin file?

BTW I have the exit menu working now.

Don't have to add anything to the skin file.

    Just:
    1. Download the file I attached.
    2. Remove the ".txt" at the end so the file name is "EXTERNAL_GPS.skin"
    3. Then just copy and paste the downloaded file into the MMIv2 folder replacing the old "EXTERNAL_GPS.skin"

You'll have to look up what the command that brings up the OSK for Destinator and edit B99 in the skin file. Open the skin file using notepad, copy and paste the command.

I went through all the different skins in my folder and couldn't find what that command is. There are a number of ways to bring up the OSK, each w/ a different function as how the text entered is passed.

I got the osk to work. I changed the "OSK' command into "APPOSK" and now I have a full screen OSK. Just one last question remaining. When I type in, for example "Amsterdam", only the last letter "m" get's on the the input line of Destinator PN, so it's starting to search for cities starting with a "m"

    Any ideas on this one.

    Sorry, I don't have a clue. I don't have destinator, so I can't test.

The only thing I can think of is that the diaglog box for city searching isn't clicked or in focus when bringing up the OSK?

wow.. Great skin Sal.. Awsome job.. I know this isn't made for ig skin.. but would it be possible to add quick IG buttons for GPS skin? I am not a graphic artist by any means... I think this would mean a lot to those of us using IG for navigation.. Just buttons on both side... 3d, poi, zoom in/out, full, etc... If not, I understand. You already have put so much time and effort into this.. I'll try to add them, but god it's gonna look sucky... Can't image...

    Thanks for ur great work!

I don't think that's the case, because Destinator takes only over the last letter I type.

Maybe you can take a look at it. You can download Destinator PN from www.woerners-online.de/destinator/desti.exe

Edit: Problem with the navigation solved. I have no idea how, but I showed my install to a co-worker today and out of the blue Destinator copies the entire text from the OSK.

See post #2 for files to patch an iG specific EXTERNAL_GPS.skin.

    @Quincy

Glad to hear it worked out.
