You need to modify the 4 files in the "c:\program files\road runner\skins\elite lite\elite\gps" folder. The main external_gps.skin file includes those files.

Yep, this bad-boy isn't coded in the conventional way.

Afternoon,

Extract the zip, copy the eLite Lite folder to your skins directory and make sure to install the included font in the eLite Lite folder

I tried the installer on the Desktop last night to find it crashing at 36% again. I have successfully installed from the zip file except the font. The font is in the eLite lite folder as per unzipping. What have I missed or done wrong?

OK sorted this now. It turns out I had misread/misunderstood the instruction and now realise that the font is to be installed in the Windows>Font folder. Doh!

I guess if you know it - you know it and if you don't - you don't. I'm happy to say that I now know it

So I'm working on a skin for RRGas, and it's coming along fine, but I notice the HandelGotD font has the wrong character in it for the dollar sign ($). I guess I could use Arial or something, but I prefer to keep the same font. Any suggestions? Edit the font myself?

HandelGotD is a non-bolded version of the Denmark font - http://www.2-free.net/free-fonts/denmark/33674.html

If all you need it for is the $, then it will suit the purpose nicely.

just curious as to why you didnt make this an 800x600 skin like the others?
but this is the best skin IMO.

ive only used this, carwings, ant dfx but i think the gui is more modern and up to date. on top of that, it matches my blue and black interior

it seems im gonna have to rip it apart and make it all 800x600 though. sigh.

im sorry, before when i tried changing the res from 480 to 600 it didnt do anything and now its working.

Need some help if poss. I've played with embedding DashCommand in a similiar way to the external_gps. The only problem is that when I select full screen I loose focus on DashCommand (or a least that what I think is happening). What code would I need within the obd_full.elite file to ensure DashCommand is displayed with the A?

I've tried calling up obd_full.skin first from the tools menu (OBD button location) and it displays ok, so the code seems ok - its just the focus. I ask because the Elite lite skin seems unique in the way it uses RR code. I hope I've explained it ok...

Shooting in the dark..try adding this to the end of the command:

||ACTIVATE;<appname>"

That should call it back into focus..if that's the problem.
