Anyone else having problems downloading the old releases? Every time I try to click any of the links, I get this message:

Sorry, the website is down. I am looking for a new host for the files, until I get the new website up and working...

I've attached the .rar for V3 to this post, as a temporary source for the files.

There is a work around needed with these files and the newest version of rr; you need to open the audio_browser.skin and audio_player.skin and remove any reference to "folder icon" and "media icon".

The header for each of those skin files should look like this:

    Code:
    RoadRunner Skin
    ROADRUNNER HAv1c Skin
    bg off.png,menu 2 off.png,menu 2 off.png,menu 2 down.png
So, if there is anything after the 4 image files on the third line, delete them and save the .skin file.

Also, don't forget to install bgothm and CarPC fonts!

As I work on V4, I am attempting to make things a lot simpler, and probably won't have my new host up and running until V4 is ready to go. I am working full time and going to school full time, so there is little free time in between class, work, homework and sleep to work on it, so it may be a little while before V4 is ready, but I am excited about V4 and how much nicer it looks (see previous teaser shots) and how much easier it is to use.

Let me know if you have any trouble downloading the .rar from this post.

I know it's been almost a year since I've updated this thread. For reasons I won't go into here, I have been away from the hobby this whole time, and haven't really done much with my projects, specifically this thread.

Well, I am getting the CarPC back in very soon, and want to have this ready to go when I get all the components in.

The screen shot below shows the tiny changes I have made since the screen shot above shows. The main difference with the upcoming V4 and the release V3 is that the code is much better organized and cleaned up. This will make it easier for someone to modify the skin for their own needs.

Here's what it looks like as of now:

I moved the power meter and volume meter to the center, and to note; the symbols on the right side are just representative. I haven't assigned functions to those buttons just yet, but I plan to make a simple button editor that will let you choose which buttons show up on the main screen.

Since I have been gone so long, there are a lot of things I have missed, so I am getting this updated with the new functionality that other skins use.

So, while I am re-designing, what are some things that people actually use that I should look at adding to the skin? Any comments on the style or layout of the buttons, sliders, etc?

Any guess'timates on when you expect to release V4? I am ready to install my carpc but will wait a week or 2 if this will be ready by then.

Thanks, great looking skin...can't wait to try it.

I am finishing finals this week, so not a whole lot of time to work on the skin, but starting next week I'll have a lot more free time. I'll put an initial estimate at end of May. V4 will have a lot of similarities to V3, so if you get your system installed, feel free to use V3, and when V4 is ready it will be an easy transition.

    Thanks!
