Ok, i get this really weird issue with the skin trying to embed IG4...

I tried both external and menu....

With external it will embed for a short time but then seems to go full screen randomly... menu/IG4 seems to "flicker" between embedded, full screen and the menu. Sound weird or what?

I went from Teknik2 to this version since IG4 somehow broke unless you used full screen. what the heck am I doing wrong or are there outstanding issues?

with "external" .. IG4 should only show fullscreen, not embeded in a window.

before using GPS, you must configure RR to use "GPS option - menu" and you must also enter the path and window name for the gps program ...

Yep, got that info in there:
GPS Path:C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidanceUMPC.exe
GPS Window Name: iGuidance

also have menu/IGnative (or whatever that check box is) selected.

Still looks like its trying to fight being embedded.

Interesting. The settings look good. Point the GPS path to the regular .exe (not UMPC) and see what happens..

Ok, I pointed it to the regular .EXE and all seems fine... I uninstalled IG4, deleted the rr.ini (created a minimal .ini) and copied the virgin Teknik3 skin into RR...

Basically the same thing. If I enter RR and directly go to GPS/Iguidance everything seems to be fine (and embedded). after that point, if I go to the music section and press play I instantly get the GPS selection screen... seems to keep flashing it too...

Then i don't know. I followed the same sequence of screen changes and IG4 and the skin does what they are supposed to - nice and quick!

Maybe some one else will chime-in, good luck.

Did you happen to install kemap or other input device map into KEYTBL.INI?
I am using IG2009 without having any problem till I use factory OEM Navigation HVAC button remapped to keyboard and set up into KEYTBL.INI.
after that it flashing IG screen and menu or whatever skin mode I was in.
Once I remove HVAC from emulator and it works fine.
One more thing is that add key to KEYTBL.INI some command may not work properly (Example; once GPS command in the skin called
and display then other key add in the KEYTBL.INI may not work at all it happento all the command but audio).
I still figure it out what may causing that problem.


I hope someone have that answer too.

heck, im too much of a noob to even know what youre talking about let alone implement it! lol

I just did a reinstall of the OS (xp/sp2) and installed base apps... .net, shutcontrol 2.21, bluetooth stack, drivers, IG4 and RR.... so, its a pretty clean system... thought I had it under control but it started doing its flickering and popping back to the GPS selection window.... I had to revert back to Teknik2 (Teknik2 with sp2 has issues for me and IG4)... oh well, its a nice skin, just cant get this to work

I like this skin but bit of sensitive.
I am using windows xp with sp2, winamp 5.13, directX9, IG2009, and newest RR pretty much basic.
But I been thru so many manual input value in .ini files.
Anyway I like this skin cause it is way simple so less CPU and Memory use.
