    The skin looks absolutely great! I'm new to the whole CarPC and have been looking for a clean, nicely laid-out interface. Your skin is one of the few that doesn't make me want to pull my hair out! After playing with it a bit last night, I found a few things that may need tweaking:

    -The star rating function doesn't work for me. After clicking Set, I try to click the different star positions but none of them do anything. My cursor shows the busy icon for a moment, but nothing else happens.

    -The seek/progress bar in the video player doesn't update. The pause function doesn't seem to work either. I've tried loading a variety of videos, but the progress bar never moves once the video starts playing. I'm using Media Player Classic, but after some testing I've found that these features work fine in Windows Media Player. Unfortunately, I need to use Media Player Classic for its DXVA playback

    -There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the aspect ratio in the video player. I know you can set the "No Zoom" option in RRConfig to have the video automatically resized, but I wouldn't mind having the ability to change it on the fly.

    Other than that, the skin is awesome! I'm looking forward to any updates you have planned!

    Update: If you need DXVA support like me but want access to the seek bar/pause buttons, install the latest beta of CCCP and use their ffdshow DXVA decoder. I did this and my 720p/1080p encoded videos work perfectly in Windows Media Player, with full hardware-assisted decoding from my Nvidia ION chipset. Now I can play all of my HD encodes in this skin with Windows Media Player and have full working video controls!

    The ratings require that you have the ActiveWinamp plugin installed. Details are in the "Help Files" sub folder of the skin.

    The seek/progress bar in the video player doesn't update. The pause function doesn't seem to work either.
    I have Media Player Classic installed on my lappy and both the scroll bar and play/pause functions work as expected. Is your media player correctly installed and configured in RR ?

    There doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the aspect ratio in the video player.
    Add these two lines to the file "video_player.skin" .. anywhere before the END command. Once added, you can click the screen on either left or right of the video and you can now scroll thru the zoom modes.

    I totally missed that! I installed the plugin, made the necessary edits, and the ratings work just fine.

    I had a feeling that something was wrong with my configuration. I uninstalled Media Player Classic (actually, it's Media Player Classic Home Cinema - needed the hardware acceleration) and reinstalled Media Player Classic 6.4.9.1. Everything plays great now, so I guess I had something setup wrong in my previous installation.

    I added these lines to the file and the aspect ratio changes work perfectly! It's great for those files that don't want to play nice with the automatic resizing.

    Thank you so much for your help and keep up the great work!

    Skin looks really nice.
    Could you make a standby button and ad it to the button list.(Maybe hibernate as well for people who use that). This way i wouldnt have to get to stand by via the exit button in the corner.

    ok - here you go.

    Add these two lines to the botton of the "buttons.txt" file in the TEKNIK-X folder ...

    HIBERNATE||Hibernate
    STANDBY||Stand-By

    and then save these 2 images to the "Menus" folder located inside the "Support" folder in TEKNIK-X folder. The images should be called "hibernate.png" and "stand-by.png"

    Hi!

    Great skin!
    But is it possible to make Garmin run in background and not close when the exit button is clicked from the gps screen?

    I did try that .. it was in the previous version of the skin (TEK4) but I found it to be very buggy and didn't always work for me - so I decided to leave it out of Tek-X. If you dl TEK-4 and have a look at the exectbl.ini file there you can see the commands that were used. Look for "HIDEGMPC" command. And you would need to add a button to the "garmin.skin" file that calls this command.

    Thank you! I got it working like I want now, just changed it to go back to main screen and not audio. Hopefully it will not be to buggy...

    Once again, great skin!
