Actually i did get it to work this time around and have a rough elitewings skin built. Just need to change the title image and add a button to close the navigation pane

I wanted to add this idea for since many have complained about your popup menus (volume and audio options) not being able to click on other buttons and having to wait for the IDLE timer to expire.

I looked into a couple other skins to see how they handle this. What they do is basically create a skin 800x600 in size with the menu box placed exactly where it needs to go graphically (not using the /POSX=44 /POSY=227 commands). Then the just create a button for all the transparent empty space allowing you to add the ESC or CANCEL command. It still doesn't allow you click on the other buttons i.e. play, pause, etc but it does allow for a simple tap to take you back rather than wait for the idle timer

What do you think?

I decided to customize the skin to my liking. I needed a to have the GPS running in the background. The current state of the skin does not allow it to run so I modified your current commands in the Skins/Elite Wings/Elite/source to utilize the ESC command.
"ESC",@CLOSE@ and i added a Press and hold function. When I use the PRESSANDHOLD sometimes it closes properly and returns to the main screen. Other times Road Runner disappears (I can see the desktop) as if RR closed but it is still running in the taskbar and task manager.

Initially i thought it was something wrong with my RR installation but this exact behavior has been duplicated on two machines.

I think there is something going on that is sending an extra command. I think it derives from the screen_saver.skin, but i am not sure.

Can you please explain what these are for and how you are using them.

I tried to disable them by commenting out all the lines in the exectbl that had it in there but i still get this weird thing that happens.

I have spent many hours troublshooting this and am stumped. Can you help?

I haven't had a chance to work on the skin lately, I've been really busy. That would be one way of doing it. I trying to figure something out now, because it will more then likely be implemented in Streamline and Elite 2 also.

Hopefully I get sometime soon to work on this problem and implement new features.
