Personally, I do not use the exit screen at all really. I just turn the ignition off, and the computer goes into standby. Start the car, and it resumes.
As for the layout of the buttons, there is no winning scenario here. If I move the power button to the left, then some are going to want it on the right. So, basically, it is what it is.
One thing I do not understand, is the need to have a button (based on a 7" screen in the car) 4 inches closer. I would imagine users like this use only the station presets 1-3 on their head unit, as 4, 5 & 6 are just to far to reach :D
I don't think I have ever used the standby button...Maybe just to first test sleep.
Maybe someone can help me with my S&T problem...
Here is the line from the Skin.ini that corresponds to the Streets and Trips button on the main menu that will not load the app:
MenuExec_18=LOAD;StreetsTrips.skin||RUN;C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets & Trips\Streets.exe;Map - Microsoft Streets & Trips
This line is from the audio_player skin (when you choose Music from main menu?) that does launch the application:
When I use the GPS button in from the audio player, the application launches and I hear the voice speak "Map Microsoft Streets and Trips"
Here is my settings in RideRunner for GPS:
I've also included my StreetsTrips.skin file
I don't remember what your problem is and I'm not a user of S&T, but if it's an embedding problem you might want to try removing the quotation marks from the GPS Window Name.
OK, for all you that have been waiting...
DFX 5.1.0 is now available in the appmarket!!
We don't plan on releasing any updates for a while. John has some things that he said he needs to attend to and I will be doing the same as well and time permitting working on the new DFXVoice and RRMedia PI's.
EDIT: Except the only thing that seems actually be a zipped folder and only includes a donation reminder patch. Tried changing to a .exe and all I get is the cmd window.
