Actually DFX has password protection built into it. Just tap the top left corner of any of the main menu screens to access it. The default pass code for using the on screen keys is 1234. You can change it to whatever you want on the password screen.

It will lockout the skin, even if rebooted. You can also press and HOLD the "Valet" button on the exit screen for the power options for when that button is pressed. You can set it, when the valet button is pressed to lock and shut down, lock and hibernate, or lock and standby.

However, I am not sure how to access it with the omnipass software. It has been a long time since I have used it. Can you drag the omnipass cross hairs (Their new password field wizard) over the text field on the DFX lockout screen to set it to enter the code in the text area when you put your finger on the scanner?

If it is a MS scanner, give Enforcers plugin a go for sure.

so far I have been trying both, the builtin DFXLocker and Enforcer's Access Control, as well as a simple text and command button in vb6 and I can't seem to be able to get omnipass to enter recognize the password field. everytime I try it says:
"You must select a valid field or button on the dialog you want the Omnipass password wizard to configure"

the best result I got so far was with Access Control, I could get omnipass to enter the password in the configuration screen, but not in the actual access control screen...

Hi John,

I have my system working pretty well overall and enjoying your skin, but I have one thing that is bugging me and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

I usually listen to HD2 (sub channel 2) of my local radio station, but when I resume from hibernation it always goes to the main channel. I'm pretty sure that the command is being sent properly but because it takes the Visteon radio a while to lock on it ignores the HD2 command at the time it's sent.

What would be the best way if possible to have a delayed command sent say about 30 seconds after RR resumes to send a sub channel 2 command? Preferably only if HD Radio is the currently selected audio source.

I will let Mitch chime in on this one, as it is not really skin related, and I honestly do not know if that is possible using skin commands.

I've already checked with Mitch in another thread. There's really no solution with the radio itself because the computer and RR are ready way before the radio itself is.

I was thinking in terms of the HD Radio skin. When the radio kicks in, I have to go to that skin and press the SUB 2 button. So whatever command is sent when I press that button, I want it sent automagically about 30 seconds after RR starts up.

I know of a utility that can run a program or batch file upon system resume, and delay is no problem, so I could do something externally based on time if there is a way for RR to detect the event and act upon it.

I guess I'm threadjacking, sorry. You are the master of RR scripting so I thought maybe you would know a way to do this.

The Centrafuse and iDrive are just images, you can create your own to fit in with whatever software you are using.

If you want to use just one use make sure you don't out a passcode in for the multiusers as that will then take preference.

I was merely suggesting AccessControl as it can work with some fingerprint scanners, specifically MS and bebetaz was asking about fingerprint scanner access.


Also AccessControl has other features which DFXLocker does not, video & audio recording, access via a USB key to name a few.

Having a quick look at the Omnipass manual it looks like it is looking for a textbox, AccessControls textbox is off the screen so it doesn't get clicked accidently. Which is fine for the MSFingerprint scanner, but maybe not for the omnipass.

Looks like I will have to download the trial version of their software and give it a try.

doesnt RR Extended have some timers?

what i think you would want, is start a timer when "ONSKINSTART" happens and/or "ONRESUME"
then when the timer expires, do the tune and hdsub commands
like
"ONTIMER1","RTUNE;93.3||HDSUB;2"

Ok here down below is a screen shot off the error.

I have since this screenshot was taken reinstalled Win7. I also installed, Winamp, RR July edition, and DFX5.1 and nothing else.
The problem still exists.
Any ideas and also is this file nesasery?
