@aeroFHI Sorry about that, I get quite a lot of PM's between being a mod and the skin, and sometimes forget to clear stuff out. All fixed, and PM's are welcome.

@Zogg Hmmm I will have to dig in and see what could be causing this one. I will check and report back.

I'll be posting a demo of the new skin updater tonight. I would have had it posted already, but YouTube didn't like my file and was really late/early by then. . Somewhat soon i'd like to also post a demo video of the DFXVoice plugin in action. Only one outside user has had a small glimps of it and well... They not knowing the future status of the RRVoice plugin, has offered a substantial donation for me to also make a more general use version of the DFXVoice plugin for all. This doesn't even take into consideration of what all it currently can do, only merited on the tip of the ice burg that they seen!

i'm sure i speak for most of us on this forum ,,, i'm in full agreement of dfx voice , becoming more widely used for others , not just DFX
UNLESS Jebus shows us some form of response to many pm's and posts asking about the future of rrvoice,,

I have just had to replace my hard drive so thought i would upgrade to win 7 before reading the problems in this thread! I have doownloaded the .ocx file and installed and registered it all ok. I have installed the latest Winamp, riderunner, dfx 5.1 and update and everything installs and loads correctly. The problem that I have is that if i press global settings button from setting nothing happens if I goto global strings directly it opens up but if I select yhe music or video path I can press select all day long and the button highlights but nothing happens. The same is for the build database button so I cannot load any music. All the other buttons appear to be ok. I would normally wait for the installer fix but am going away tomorrow and don't know wether to revert back to xp or if this is an easy fix?

mcb0, did you read about the problem with the current dfx5 installer??? prob not...
thats why you most likly have an issue...

i dont blame ya, this thread is messy... i will ask the dfx5 team, where is the fixed installer... i know your working on a lot of really amazing stuff

at this point mbc0, use the legacy to profile tool, and delete the rr.ini sitting in program files\riderunner\
then register the dfx5.dll in mydocuments\riderunner\skins\dfx5\plugins\dfx\....

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it! After some faffing I managed to get it all working on Windows 7 nicely now..... I just have 2 questions I would like to resolve before I transfer the pc back into the car if someone could help I would be very grateful as I configured my DFX a long time ago and cannot remember/find how to get the settings I need back again...

1, I need to turn the advanced search off so I can search for partial names, i.e. bow instead of bowie

2, I cannot remember either how to change the weather location as I am in the UK & not NY

Any help would be gratefully received...

This IS strange! I deleted the rrmedia.db as suggested,I am still getting the error and using the random play 50 it pops up on every other song quite a bit annoying...

I wait for the up date uninstall RR DFX and reinstall everything..

Open:C:\Program Files\RideRunner\Plugins\RRMedia\Data\RRMediaDb.ini in notepad or a text editor.
Change the line in the .ini to AdvSrchMode=False

Simply press and hold one of the weather presets at the top of the weather screen, and put in "London" for example. You will get a list of cities to choose from, just choose the correct one and click OK.
