at this point mbc0, use the legacy to profile tool, and delete the rr.ini sitting in program files\riderunner\
then register the dfx5.dll in mydocuments\riderunner\skins\dfx5\plugins\dfx\....

Truly sorry about this issue that is in the installer with W7 installs! Even though that is/was a quick easy fix, we didn't want to have to keep updating the installer in the appstore several times in a short period. Our current plan is to get the skin updater working good/stable enough that one installer is all that would be needed and then from then on, we can issue any needed fixes using the updater. This should be by the latest Monday night, but hopefully sooner. I have a 3 day WE this WE so I have lots of time to devote to getting this done and posted in the appstore.

Still working on getting out this latest build. This will hopefully be the last full build / patch. When bug fixes, feature additions are added then, they will be ready right away, and you will not have to wait and wait for updates & patches.

Looking forward to the auto-updater! Thanks to John and Blue for all of the time and work they devote to this. IF you haven't donated, maybe now's a good time to think about it (as well as to the other fine folks that have created various plugins for RR and work with the DFX skin).

On a side note, the developer of S&T Keys has created a version to work with Streets and Trips 2011, and I may have finally found something that will allow me to use the Answer/End Button on my Bluetooth Headset to activate voice control in RR. (Just gotta find the skin command for the button

So, hopefully, after a few tweaks here and there, along with your latest imminent release, I'll be in Carputer heaven!

Same here...appreciate all the hard work!

I came here looking for a solution to problems I am having; periodic lockups and blue screens (just as a comparison, V3.0 always ran perfectly).

Anyways, I uninstalled 5.1 (even though it shows 5.0 splash screen), the the DB and associated ini and then reinstalled 5.1, ran and reran the DB. I hoping everything is ok (I'll try it again tomorrow morning while going to work).

Questions:
When I reinstall the nag patch, why does it make the splash screen always go from 5.1 to 5.0? Is that a "signal" that it screws up something else or shouldn't I be concerned at all? (and yes, it's the 5.1 nag patch).

How do I get rid of the voice that says "prepare yourself" or "get ready" (I can't remember which one it was) after the nag patch is installed? I looked all over for a setting.

As far as I know and am aware of, this was an issue and was fixed, was the Donation patch your using more recently downloaded?

Settings>Global Settings>Speak Greeting at Startup Off/On..

I never like the weather detail screen, as it always looked cluttered to me, and the fonts were pretty small. I messed around with it a bit, and came up with this. I personally think the background makes it look really nice. I can always put the original background, without the wallpaper in the skin folder, so if someone does not like the wallpaper, simply rename it.

The "Tonight" will have a moon and stars background.....

What does everyone think? Yes, no?

(The "Day Time" at the top will be altered, and not just stuck there by itself)
