I did look into this last night, I did fix the minor issue of the checkformp3 cmd saying that it is an invalid cmd. Trying to see what/where there could be an issue. What type of audio files do you have?

I am running mostly wma with sprinkled mp4. This was not a problem until the April/May? (dont remember the exact) updates or RR. I had not changed anything except stay up to date. This is all on my test PC until corrected as it continues to work on my installed car PC, with whichever unupdated version of RR it is running. I will check if it helps to know what that version might be.
I was testing with the July release, and was no prob here.
Blue, I installed DFX on "W7" machine and "CNN News" works just fine,...still trying to figure this out on the XP machine though, maybe a codec problem?
OK, I'm not sure if this a "InternetRadio" problem or not, but I'll try to describe this the best I can,....well, hear it goes.
I added all my custom station in the "StationList.ini" and they don't get deleted on me, which I say Thanks to you and John for adding that in.
I see that in "PlayLists"---> "_My Saved Stations" folder there is a few hand picked .m3u stations that john or you mention adding, so I figure that I add all my custom stations that I have listed in the "StationList.ini" file...but as (.m3u, .pls, .ax) files...etc.
Then I setup a button for one of my custom stations
ie, the button already labeled piano by you guys which plays that station as expected.
Then I change that button to ie, "Iron Maiden Radio" plays as expected, no problem there.
I click on another button... any button, it plays that station, another one you guys picked.
Then I click on the button that I labeled "Iron Maiden Radio" the one I assigned "Iron Maiden Radio".m3u for, but now it reverts back the piano.m3u again, even though it's labeled "Iron Maiden Radio". Why????
Then I went to look in the "_My Saved Stations" folder, and all my custom stations are still there, and they play fine outside of RR/DFX.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.
Blue or John- im going to try the update tonight, thank you for doing this! also when are you implementing time-shifting for all the audio heard through dfx? ( ;) ),
Video feature disabled while vehicle is in motion?? I am sitting in my drive way engine off, PC plugged into the wall outlet
video just stop playing inside DFX and a POP UP This feature disabled while vehicle is in motion??
Please tell where or how to remedy this. (my wife hates the Car PC)
Its the Plugin called GPSLockout that is one of the very few that are included in the installer now. It uses the SPD from the gps data from RR, so if wonders a bit while stationary and shows you going faster then the lockout set speed it will...er..lock you out of video/dvd type features. You can either disable/uninstall the plugin, or you can set the lockout speed setting up a bit higher to prevent such an issue. Easiest way to disable it, would be to unregister the dll found in the RR\Plugins folder, or if you want to simply keep it and try adjusting the setting via the ini also found in its plugin folder. Speed is the name of the setting, and I believe that the default on that is 3mph
Try also looking in the DFX5\Scripts\CNN-News\News Feeds folder and see if you DL'd streams are there, they are a mp3 file so I don't think a codec is going to be the problem. :( Yeck, try playing that file(s) straight out and see if what was DL'd will even play outside of RR....
I'll get to the rest of that post when I have a chance to read it and figure out what it is your saying. I just skimmed it, need to read it word for word...hehe
Blue,
I was reading about getting RRVoice going and you're working on DFXVoice. I am just starting to test with latest skin and RR 07-01-2011.
Went and got the andrea mic and trained it OK. So far, the Mic Icon is GREEN, so it seems to work.
My question after reading the notes on DFX and RRVoice pertains to pushing a button to tell the system to start listening. I have seen mice, keybords, push buttons, etc discussed -
Would it be possible to configure the main skin to start listening when you just press the microphone icon at the top of the screen?
I haven't looked at the code at all, so i don't know what all it does now, but can you add multiple functions to a button / icon?
Thanks.
ThinkFTA
Did you try clicking the mic icon? LOL
