There is a RR setting for that, and it's default is to autohide in like 5 secs.

you know i actually have an hour or so to burn... i think ill sit in my truck and uninstall/reinstall rr and dfx, start with those from scratch. too many weird stuff, and now that the updateable version is out i shouldnt have to do this again

@ trader007: You really need to get a WiFi dongle in the car :) When I had the Eclipse (No CarPC at the moment) I would just VNC into the car, and do everything right from the desktop PC.

That's what I do. And to save the battery or not burn gas, I connect my carpc to my 12V mobile test bench. I'd rather work in the house A/C than out in the sweltering Florida sun and humidity!

Noticed a LED'S button in DFX5 could someone please point me to more info on this,I have USB DMX set-up on my Studio PC wondering if I can intergrade?

leds is for a little gadget that Mitch is building ,,, it allows control of led strip lights,,, not sure on the progress of this device ,, there is a thread around here on it

Me too! I added a self-latching DPDT relay into my power circuit so that when I plug in the cable from my bench supply, it automagically disconnects from the car battery and the ignition line and feeds them from the bench supply. That way if I forget and leave the carputer on all night it won't run down the battery (been there, done that).

Yes Im new to the carpc world but am so far enjoying TRYING to get things to work correctly. running win 7 32 bit, installed ride runner in profile mode and then DFX newest release. When in profile mode I can not get RRMedia to create a database at all. Reinstalled riderunner in legacy mode, I can then create database? what am I doing wrong in profile mode?
Second problem: RRSKYPE will not list contacts at all and shows offline in DFX. Have allowed Riderrunner to use skype but still nothing.. rookie trying to get these working..
