Thread: DFX 5.1.2 Released [ Updated 04-02-12 ]

If Blue is going to do that, I'd definitely wait. Currently making another Menu Page is possible but a PITA. Not that I'd care, but if possible Blue you might wanna think of those who want fewer menu's as well. I remember someone asking for that.

As other have mentioned I have the same issue where you start playing the song and it acts as it is playing but no sound unless you change to another song.

Other issues I have:
If I load a play list then try to go to sirius it will still display the play list. When I switch to the Sirius list and select a station, it will play songs from the play list not Sirius the selected station. This also happens with other list as well. The only way I can get it to work is to go to the music section and clear the play list, then it works normally.

Also listeningining to Sirius and try to switch to Pandora, Sirius is not stopped and both Sirius and Pandora play at the same time.

The Sirius and Pandora issue is because the Pandora is just using a screen with an embedded window and RR doesn't know that it's supposed to mute it.

And as the other mention, what RR & DFX versions are you running?

I am running the latest DFX (5.1.1) and August RR and on startup the song acts as if it's playing, but it isn't until the song is changed.

This is my first post here for issues with this skin and I am relatively new to the carputer (truck in this case) realm but I have been running my system now for a few months and its been great..... Till yesterday.

I started up the RR (most recent version) running DFX (Most recent and updated version) and I had NO text in any of the menu buttons and the top portion where the radio info should have been displayed looked like it was slightly whited out. Now the bottom row of buttons (menu, volume, etc) is there (text) and works but none of the other buttons work. I switched to Carwings and it all works fine. This had worked flawlessly before this. Any help would be appreciated. I havent done anything aside from switch it to Carwings as I gotta have my tunes.

If it helps I also am trying out Itunes for the mp3 player (cause I have an iphone and it keeps popping up anyways) but this has worked this way for a while. I just mentioned it as I really haven't seen anyone else state they have been using it.

I do love this skin and have paid the fee for it and I am very greatful for all the hard work as it blows the doors off of Carwings.

You've corrupted your skin.ini file in the DFX folder, probably due to a hard or other unusual shutdown. See if you have a folder called !PatchBackups in your DFX folder. If so, go to your most recent skin backup, find the skin.ini and drop it into your DFX folder. You will have lost any changes you've made to the skin since that file was saved, but at least you'll be back in business. Once you get the skin back to where you want it make a backup of the skin.ini so you can drop it back in if the problem happens again. Eventually, John will include a feature that automatically backs up the skin.ini.

That worked great for the menu buttons, thanks, but that didn't take care up the whitish section where the radio or song info is displayed though. Any thoughts?

"Whitish" sounds like an improperly set up visual. As it does show in that location on the menu screens, maybe you accidently turned it on by touching/clicking the top part of the center of the menu's?
