I'll take this over to your thread. Was just trying to find out if it was just DFX related, my system, or something else. Thanks Enforcer.

Has anyone been using the Automatic Updater in the skin? I have put a few updates and bug fixes in there..... Is it working ok? The last update was a fix to the 4 day forecast weather screens. I moved things around a bit, and made the temperature's for the individual days larger.

When someone gets a chance, update, and let me know if it all worked ok. Thanks!

John. All seems to be ok at this end as far as the Auto Updater. The Temp Font is larger and I think I notice some small placement changes. The only trouble I ever had with the Updater was with my AV software nailing a false positive on the prior update. The biggest problem was that DFX thought the updates had completed when in fact they had not. Had to play around to get the Updater to think otherwise so I could try it again with my AV off.

Might also suggest that if you're wondering if an update went ok or not, that you might announce via the thread that an update is available and the additions/fixes it contains. Don't think most of us are gonna hit the update button every day just to see what happens.

It is in the works to use an indicator for updates. It will periodically check, if an Internet connection is available, for updates. So the skin itself will let you know when an update is available.

Still to do is the offline updater. This will run standalone on a desktop PC. It will grab the updates, and will copy them to a USB drive, thumb-drive, SD card ect, of your choosing. When that is plugged into the CarPC, with the skin running, it will automatically see the device attached, and and install those updates.

Great idea! Look forward to it! Now if I could just get Enforcer's stuff working I'd be a happy camper. (Literally. I use this in a Motor Home.. )

The Updater works fabulous for me. A real timesaver. I almost need to ask...do we need backups anymore?

However still cant get Youtube aka DFXTube to work properly (See post 1621). Anyone here getting success?

Turns out it was that crazy Win7/Profiles thing for RRTraffic Cams and RRFuelPrices. Originally didn't use the RR Profile install 'cause I had no use for the profile feature. Re-installed RR in Profile Mode ans then reinstalled Skins and Plugs. All working fine now. Thanks to Enforcer for the tip. A donation's comin' your way bud!

John, Blue....... All is well. Running smooth, and the DFX skin update went through without any problems. ------> Then I updated RR.

    Thanx Buds.
