    The RRVoice.ini in C:\Program Files\RideRunner\Skins\DFX5\Plugins\RRVoice
    Should not be there...

Yes, I have just checked this with a clean install of both RR Oct and the DFX 5.0.3 installer and did find that there was this error....Now corrected!!

Again, after the above checking, this has been fixed. The installer will be updated soon to reflect these missed items.....Now corrected!!

The correct current version is 1.0.0.62...

Using the above checks, I will confirm that it installed the correct version on a clean install, but might not overwrite if trying to install over existing older RRVC files.

This is not actually skin related per-say...it is a built in RR feature, that uses this file for retrieving US state, city and zip info. To which can be used in several different ways in a skin depending on how the skin authors put it to use.

Now what I could do, is maybe make it unchecked by default and if user wants to install the file, notify the user that this will only work in the US, just as an extra precaution.

    [EDIT]

And now after checking when going to the the gauges screen, it does call the RR cmd "LOCATE" which tell RR to reupdate the location labels at the top of this screen, using the zips.dat file. That is where you were having your issues...

Stopwatch does not work on either of my two machines using RR10/04/10, DFX5.03 and XPSP3. The screen comes up as it should, but it does not count the time properly. When I hit start the tenths of seconds count up very slowly, an increase of about one tenth of second per minute. It did work on the beta versions with the September RR, but I don't think I've used it with any of the DFX release versions.

    Anyone?

I don't have RRVoice installed (or speech sdk), could that be an issue? I noticed post 157 mentioned a connection between music structure and RRVoiceConfig. Just grasping at straws here...

[This may not matter to most users, but I listen to a lot of books, I switch to music when I have folks in the car and then back to my book when alone. Having to relocate a track in DFX5 among 900+ tracks on a book means I'll have to stay with DFX4 ... and that just sucks because of all the cool stuff in DFX5!]

    Thanks for your help.

And yes deep down I knew that to be the answer. However really working way too many things and without thinking I asked a "user" question.

And to Enforcer, thankfully Blue had not run out of spoons.
