I don't know what else is disabled by commenting out these lines, but line-in is now muted when iG speaks.
Will add to the to check list.
But does DFXPAUSE/DFXRESUME add any value over IGPAUSE/IGRESUME??
Hi blue, I have another modified m3u file for internet radio, maybe you could add this to next skin update? If not then ........Enjoy all. Oh, the Rock m3u that is in last update, there is a discontinued url........>Mr Poo Poo's Iron Maiden .....Dead no longer. What a shame, I had this for 3 months with no problems :ohwell: Just delete url from the Rock m3u........Sorry.
Blue I hope my post earlier didn't come of too snarky, I'd just spent all weekend (the second consecutive one) trying to get everything running smooth to put it in the car and a little frustrated that it felt I hadn't made much progress. But anyway yes removed zips.dat and the gauges screen is all functioning as it should!
The latest issue I'm having is substantial lag througout although it's most noticable when skipping tracks. When I skip tracks (also pause/change menus) the next song starts playing immediately but the entire skin locks up for ~8 seconds before I can do anything else. I don't think it's lack of processing power, DFX4.0 was lightning fast even when I had a 15k+ playlist on the go.
Hardware wise it's a dualcore atom 330 (i945GC) with 2GB of ram.
Video of the the lag I'm experiencing. With hindsight Daft Punk might not have been the best artist to have playing! It might sound like it's skipping at times but the audio is playing as it should throughout the vid.
Ya, i have a MB board that has that same atom proc and it doesn't even have to grunt at all, more that i can say for my last board...M10K
What player, as maybe could be a player issue. You should have no lag when skipping to the next/prev tracks especially with that proc. Could be something on/up with your setup some where as i can't recall anyone else reporting this lag your experiencing...
Are you connected to the net when trying this? Just thinking also maybe the player is trying to grab some kind of info for the current track and holding RR up in the process, IDK? :noidea:
Just had another thought, video drivers correct or up to date? Vid drvs can create all sorts of issues....
I'm trying to get OBDMPG screen going. Does this require the plugin or is it built in? What setup is required if it's built in.
Great job, thanks for all your work. And I have donated!
Yep somethings definately not right I'm stumped though, not connected to the net. Player is Winamp 5.something, not sure which, latest one as of a week or so ago.
It's a fresh windows install xp pro x86. First thing I did was chipset/video drivers/audio lan drivers. Then went through windows update (service pack updates etc), all .net updates, then flash player, klite codec pack standard, Riderunner/dfx has been uninstalled twice but I deleted remaining folders and rebooted between uninstalling and reinstalling. That's just made me think though does anything persist in documents and settings that could be screwing things up? I only deleted the riderunner folder in c:\program files
I'm going to go pull it out the car now and do a fresh install of RR/DFX then run it without changing anything and see if it lags. Chances are I'm screwing something up somewhere along the line configuring it...
@trader007 I got hold of a andrea array mic and usb adapter today and have just been testing it on my windows 7 rig. The difference is like night and day! Admittedly I'm in a quiet room but results have gone from ~10% accuracy and not even being able to recognise certain words; to near 100% accuracy on carefully pronounced words and dictating around full normal conversation speed with very high sucess rate! Quite astonishing the difference it's made.
Okay quick question; what components should I be checking/unchecking when I install winamp? winamp agent? media library? multimedia engine?
Could any of these be affecting operation of winamp within RR?
