I found something, in the topindicators.txt file, the RRVoice settings were enabled and the DFXVoice settings were disabled /. Reversing this, and the DFXVoice microphone appears, and when its pressed, the windows pops up 'listening', but never goes away and any press causes a not responding issue.

Plugin Manager does not show RRVoice installed, only DFXVoice.

    Font issue

First off I cannot get the fonts to line up correctly (everything is cut off)and the track info is now showing up.

Also having an issue with the weather not showing up. I followed the steps and registered at weather underground and entered my authentication code but still nothing
    hpric,
Don't know if this will help, but I had a similar situation with my fonts not lining up. Then I remembered that I had tried to compensate for my geezer eyesight by increasing the font and icon size in windows. FWIW, try this: right-click on your windows desktop, click on screen resolution, click on the "Make text and other items larger or smaller" option, select "Smaller-100%" and then exit out. Start DFX5.1 and see if there is any improvement.

I made sure fonts were 100% on both carpc and the laptop. Is there anyway to make 85%? Does no one else have this problem on 1024x768?
I know its still early, so hopefully tomorrow I will have more solutions

Yes, I do on 1024x768. Have not yet tried setting fonts to 100%, if that fails, I'm going to the 800x600 skins.

i cant imagine resolution makes a difference on font... but font scaling DOES!!!!!

Unfortunately, since the beginning of Road Runner, it has never properly scaled the fonts at different resolutions. The skin is written with 800 x 600 in mind. If you switch the show width and height in the gereral.ini to 1024 x 768, the font scaling gets all out of whack. Especially noticeable in larger fonts, like those along the bottom of the screen for music control volume ect.

To test, take an 800 x 600 skin (DFX for example), and change JUST the show width / height, and NOTHING else. You will see what happens. For some reason, the larger the font, the worse the scaling gets out of proportion.

There are a couple version of the bottom row buttons in the skin folder you can rename to help compensate, one for 800 x 600, one for 800 x 480 and another for 1024 x 768. This only fixes the bottom buttons, and nothing else in the skin. That would take altering each and every skin file for the different resolutions

What I did was just use the skin editor, go to #1898 post.

Because my res for test pc is 1280x800

I backed up the altered skin files, and then wrote down my changes just in case.

And I also backed up my loader.skin file and splash.jpg file, I altered them too.

    Good luck.
