I edited my post- I reinstalled RR and video started workin the way it should
I dont have it set up with users....
That was for Winamp. I'm using media player.
I dont use the hibernate either.
Yeah, thats cool, but mine does it whenever it feels like it.
I switch to the DFX4 skin and it works fine. It just acts like this with DFX5.

The voice commands are now being controlled by the menu.ini file in the RRVoice folder in DFX\Plugins, not the rrvoice.ini file. Menu.ini is the file you want to refer to for voice commands and to edit if you want to change them.
I do not believe RR needs to be running in order to successfully use RRVoiceconfig.
As far as not recognizing artists, I've found that the voice recognition is kind of funny about how some words should be pronounced. For example, if I say "Play Artist Amanda Shires" and correctly pronounce her last name to rhyme with "tires" it will not work; however, if I say "Play Artist Amanda Shears" it will work every time. Similarly, if I say "Play Artist Rod Picott" and correctly pronounce his last name to rhyme with "cot" it will not work; however, if I say "Play Artist Rod Pico" so that the tts are silent (the French pronunciation), it will work every time. I suppose additional training might help with this, but I'm guessing these are just little idiosyncrasies we'll have to get used to over time. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the accuracy.
Yes, this is with may different words... John has done a great deal with the default skin cmds as far as putting it how it will actually be recognize as. This is sorta the same with TTS. As an example...the word "windy" you have to use the word "whendy" for it to get the pronunciation correct. So basically you'd need to find the ones that you play alot and fix them in the ini's so that it will recognize it when properly pronounced and would need to be done every time you add music that you want to access by voice...![]()

"There are no bugs - only undocumented features."
Hello,
I decided to give this RR a test drive. I am a newbie and I hope I will not be flamed. I have installed and started testing the latest RR on two different computers: A 4 year old Dell laptop and a 2 year old desktop, both running windows 7, Plenty or ram, space, cpu, speed, etc.
Congratulations on a product full of different features. But I have encountered numerous problems. Mainly, there are high cpu readings continuously after running DFX5.3, framework errors, and an overall slowdown. I am contemplating in building a carpc, but I am not sure if this is the software route I will be taking as of yet. Also-and forgive me if I miss that-I am not sure if this is truly compatible with Windows 7. I know many still use XP. I saw that some other users experienced similar issues. I know this is a work in progress, and I wanted-and I am not sure if this is at all helpful-to give you my first impressions.
Again, keep up the good work and kudos to the developers for sharing this.
In rergards to CPU, I would recommend making sure your flash player is updated (using internet explorer), this generally is the only thing that causes CPU issues. You should also test the default skin to see if you have any issues. Regarding any other errors, it's hard to comment without a description of what they are, in any case, it's likely some software requirements missing from the machine (which highly depend on the skin and plugins you're using -- i.e. this skin specifically may require extras which are probably listed somewhere).

Anrea USB stick and software installed. you MUST redo your speech training in windows after you change mics, at first i thought it was worse but its in the helpfile that you must retrain. the only times it seems to miss now is when i hit big bumps and stuff... its the low frequencies that are getting through, its amazing how low these mics will capture (i wish there was a low freq filter in the software, i dont know why there isnt)
and retraining worked. i can now drive down the road in my noisy truck and it is almost always spot-on with the recognition. i also used jrmediacenter to rename all of my music files into a structure that rrvoiceconfig can use easily. the alc888 onboard soundcard did a pretty good job with speech recognition, this usb stick just does noticeably better.
dfx working GREAT! carpc better then ever, finally back to playing with small custom details and not big hude headaches....
