DFX 5.1.2 Released [ Updated 04-02-12 ]

Blue, John....

Been testing, This is on a Win7 test lappy.
And all is well so far,... except two minor problems.

1-

The internet radio works great except for tag/lables etc,, not showing up anymore.

I have 5.63 of Winamp installed. So I guess I'm ok using most recent version.

2-

The visualizations don't work anymore.....

I tried the DFX vis in the helper folder in DFX, and tried Milkdrop.
Both don't work, just a transparent window with no visual action, as you can see below.

I'll add my debug file too if it helps.

So I can confirm that the visualizations are not working properly. The viz does start but does not come to the front until you tap in the area where the viz should be. Also the window border is not removed even though I unchecked the integrate in winamp box in winamp. It is like the wrong window name is called for in RR. Also I have noticed that there are transparency settings both in RR config and in the skin.ini for the visualizations.

Also there are no longer any song titles when selecting an album in Cover Art music choosing skins. First we lost ilist support and had an icon type list with a blue line and the song title underneath. Now there are no songs listed at all, and therefore no songs will play from the cover art area.

I don't use internet radio so i have not checked that section at all as listed in the previous post.

Thanks for your input on the visuals not working like they used to.

I also tested other skins,
ie: Carwings, eLite2, Uconnect Touch,,, etc and got same results. No worky.

Using the prev/next vis buttons on any skin,,,
......it's like almost all visuals for AVS are broke. Weird.

Well if it is a vis window name problem, I would assume that would be in RR and not in DFX, now that I have had a bit of time to think about it.

Hi, I'm setting up my new carpc & is having problem with DFX skin freezing on startup. Is there any requirements or procedure to install DFX for Win7 SP1, 32 bits system?

I have installed the latest flashplayer, Netframework 3.5.1 & 4, Directx 9.0C & 11, RR Aug 2012 & Winamp 5.63.

One thing I realised that if I start Winamp playing 1st, DFX will be able to load the menu skin. However all the trackname & song labels will not display in the menu skin. If Audio skin is loaded, then the songs label will display correctly.

Did I miss out anything or is there any dll files that need to be registered manaully?

I just tested the album art layout screen,...

My song titles do show,,

drewbp, maybe you have a tag problem with your mp3s?

I can also confirm that no songs play when you click on the blue line icon,...

but they do play when I click on the play album button at left top of screen though.

I also notice when changing to a different artists/album and then clicking on the blue line icon again (a song), the song from the previous selected plays over again from the beginning.(Maybe a bug)?

OK now,,,

if I click on playlist button on top right, I'm directed to a playlist screen, and which all songs can be selected easily and play as expected.

So I guess that when selecting songs by clicking on the blue line icon from the album art layout screen, only adds to a playlist(S).

"It Won't Play On The Fly"

I think this is how your supposed to use the album art layout screen,

songs are added to a playlist(S) only.

If this all makes any sense?

I do have one suggestion, maybe change the blue line icon to something like a music symbol etc. Would look much better IMHO.
