Hello, I have a question about the HD Radio screen.

I have the Directed HD radio and Mitch's cable. The radio works great and the skin seems to support it well. I recently purchased a Xenarc monitor from a vendor that posts here on MP3Car. They also swapped out the standard 5-wire touchscreen for a Capacitive Touchscreen. My problem is that on the HD Radio screen I can't select any of my preset stations. I can click them with the mouse and they work, but they don't respond to the touchscreen. All the rest of the buttons on the screen work. I do see a little dot on the screen when I touch, just like I see when I touch any other button.

I noticed today that in the radio skin that I can use the arrows to change the stations. Not really handy if there is no keyboard.

Another small request. In the Gauges screen, gps_Status.skin, the flash based speedometer in the center goes to 180. Here in the US, and especially Ohio, we don't go anywhere near that fast. Is there a way to get a reduced top value on that speedometer? I think the speedometer in my car tops out at 120. That would improve the resolution. Although I'm sure that would require a complete re-write, and I don't know flash at all. I guess just a suggestion then.

Did a complete reinstall. I'm now unable to get menu button labels to update. I press and hold, the button list comes up and I select a new button. When I go back to the menu button that I just changed, the action of the button (the command) has changed as desired, but the button label and icon remain the same. Working fine in Carwings. Any ideas?

I did notice basically this days ago when I was doing something and just figured was my botched skin on my DT. I'll assume reinstall w/ all skin updates done?

Yes, reinstalled and updated many times using latest versions of everything. I have just now got it working again, but am not sure what I did to make it work. I will let you know if I can isolate the source of the problem.

I narrowed it down on my machine. RRExtended must be loaded and enabled. If I disable RRExtended I am unable to change button labels. If I enable it I am able to change the labels. Happens every time.

On the machine you're having trouble with check to see if RRExtended plugin is loaded and enabled.

I do believe that is/was the reason. When I'm working on dfxvoice, I only have the minimal needed PI's loaded to keep a narrower issue window. Though, didn't think rrext was being used in such a simple function. Good call!

I'm having an issue with how the items in lists are displaying in my current setup. Any selected item in a list is blacked out rather than highlighted, so I cannot actually read the text of the selected item. I can see the text very faintly in the background, but cannot easily read it. It's like a transparency where the overlay is almost opaque. I have attached a screen cap, but for some reason the underlying text is much more visible in the cap that it is on the actual screen. On the screen the song title that is highlighted is totally black.

I think it may be that the color of the highlight bar/box is the same or very similar to the color of the text behind it, so that the text cannot be easily distinguished. This is happening on two of my three machines and I haven't been able to figure out how to fix it. On the one machine not having the problem when I highlight an item in a list the highlight box is white and the text below displays in black so it's very easy to read. All of the config settings on the three machines (two having the problem and one not) seem to be the same. XP3 and up to date versions of DFX and RR on all machines. Any ideas?

So i just started using dfx and took a 12 hour trip with it. It worked great for the most part only noticed a couple issues:

One time I added a couple artists to my current playlist and they came in fine in order. I then wanted to play them random so I changed the list sort to randomized. It started playing random but what DFX said was being played didn't actually match what was being played.

After a while I noticed that it didn't correctly display the tags on the main Page. Sometimes the artist and song title just showed in the song title field and there was nothing in the artist and album fields. It seemed random as sometimes one song from an album would work then the next wouldn't. I need to look into it more to make sure tags are right but it seems to me they are as the browser list shows correct and I remember other programs showing correct.

Selecting items from the browser list is difficult. A lot of times I have to press several times to get it to select something. Pressing other buttons always seems to work fine it is just selecting items from the browser list that is difficult.

I'm still in the midst of the trip so I haven't had much of a chance to look into much of this but figured I'd post it to see if it rings any bells with anyone and if there is anything I could try to improve it on the trip back home. Once I'm home ill look into these issues more and post back what I find.
