I have issues with RR. I can randomely play music, but as soon as i go in the music browser,where my music is listed, itīs not playable. I get an error message instead saying:"We interceptet a COM Error! err description: Database file is open.

Did not update or change a thing. Stable install running for months all of the sudden DFX starts and all buttons and info is blank. Tried updating flash, graphics driver, RR 11-1-12 etc...nothing working. Carwings works fine. Any thoughts?
Isn't that the config (or skin.ini)file getting corrupt?
There should be a backup in one of the folders
Updated Flash, Video Drivers, Bios, latest RR you name it DFX has no display on buttons. Music displays up top that's it. Any further ideas??
It sounds like your skin.ini may be corrupted. Back up your existing skin.ini. Then go to !SkinBackupIni and drop a couple of the skin,ini.bak files (after removing .bak) into your DFX folder, starting with the newest. Hopefully, that will work. If not, do a reinstall of DFX, making sure during the installation process to tell it to overwrite all settings.Quote:

When viewing the Radar Map, National Weather Map, or (national) Temp Map under Weather, approximately every 2 minutes the software speaks what sounds like random gibberish, but it's repeating the same thing over and over. This does not occur when viewing Current Weather or 4 Day Forecast. I reside in the USA. Asking the system to speak the current forecast functions normally.
Either way, it's quite annoying. The speech is so rapid that I can't make out all of the characters. The string seems to be around 16-20 characters or so. I don't see any such text on the screen, so it is something hidden. Perhaps part of some data stream???
Anyone have an idea of what this could be, why RR would be reading these characters, and how to stop it?
