Hello, I'am having problems with RR on start up. I just installed the newest version of both RR and DFX. When RR starts up, it plays a song during the DFX splash screen. But once the skin loads the "title" and " artist" name is blank. When I press "music" the song info appears but it stops playing, sometimes it even changes to a different song in the playlist. Any ideas on how I can fix this? thanks

Local music, winamp and windows xp. I noticed the music starts playing once dfx loads the player.Originally Posted by RadarNutt
Did you verify your setting in RRConfig? It is under Music > Modes
There's some discussion on one of the RR threads about a similar problem and verifying one of the settings. I recall something about setting a variable =2, but I can't find the thread atm. I'll try and dig it up.
Also, do you have latest or recent WinAmp version?
Yes the latest. I also tried playing with the "resume" set up in rr but it still did it. Also do you know how to disable dfspeak? I dont have a mic and it gives me an error that prevent the pc from shutting down without manualy "ending" the program. Thanks
Maybe this has been mentioned, but with so many pages I couldn't find an answer. After updating to the newest version of RR and DFX the weather no longer works. When it loads everything is blank. Any fix to this?

I've Been gone for awhile and the forum seems really slow, what happened? Anyway i was going thru the forum to reacquaint myself and i ran into that post. Not really sure if thats your answer though.

That should not be an issue (not having a mic). I used mine for some time without a mic and I regularly un-plug the mic to update/install software, and no issues.
Overall, it sounds to me like you have some kind of config issue with either RR or the OS (given the probs you seem to be having). Are you using a N-Lite'd build of Windows XP? Which SP are you using?
Just out of curiosity, is this skin still supported? I remember John, Blue, Guino, and a host of other DFX'ers all over these here threads. Hopefully the holiday season is keeping folks out of the forum but i doubt it seeing that the dates on the posts are obvious indicators. Anyway, I broke my xp disc and it seems i will be stuck with windows 8, is there any advantage to 8 or am i screwed?
