    Hmmm, Interesting.

I'm sure all's still good with DFX. Devs just may need a well deserved rest away from coding and skining etc. for a spell.

    Amen to that!

I have spent very little time here on the forums lately. I've talked to John a few times here and there and he too has taken a long needed break from all this work that we have put into this skin. That and the carpc hobby is shrinking back down to the ones that are here for the true hobby of this and the rest have moved on to their tablets and "smartcars" en such...

FYI, dfxspeak has NOTHING to do with dfxvoice. dfxspeak is what the skin uses for its speaking, as we like to customize everything to our likings, we didn't quite like how the builtin speak functions of RR worked, so we created our own to it our way...

Much Understood. The countless hrs of work you guys have put into this skin is truly remarkable in mine eyes thats for sure. Thanks for your hard work.

I was wondering, I am starting from scratch on my build (software side) how well does RR and DFX work with windows 7 and or 8. I have posted sometimes back in another forum awhile back about my xp disc being FUBAR and may be forced to use the later os.

I just setup my sirius radio with RR/DFX and want to customize the favorites icon screen, but unclear how to do it. I tried changing the channel numbers in the sirius.skin file, but that just seem to disconnect the channel with the icons. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to do it?

Edit: Seems like re-installing always does the trick!

    Remove Song Functionality?

While I'm listening to a playlist occasionally a song comes up that I don't like and I would like to be able to delete it permanently from my computer. Back in post 69 John said the following:

Also, the deleting file option will be in this release as well. In the player screen there is a "Remove Song" button. Press and HOLD that button for 1 second to delete the currently playing file. You will get a warning that it will PERMANENTLY delete the file, and you have to press and hold yes to do so.

I have tried holding down the Remove Song button and I get a message that says:

Missing the following skin picture files:

    confirm_off.png
    Confirm_on.png

I do not see those files in the DFX folder anywhere.

Does anybody know if the remove song feature is working and, if so, where I can get those image files?

Try dropping these into your DFX5 skin folder.

These are from an old DFX5 install I have on my laptop, hopefully they are the correct ones

Wondering if anyone can help with this.

Trying to refit my carpc in the new motor and thought id update everything so ive updated RR to the Feb version 2013 and then installed DFX 5.1.2 (was using 5.1.1before i think)

For whatever reason when i start RR with DFX it gets to the "Finishing Startup" screen and either not responds or looks like its freezing.

I've noticed people talking about disabling DFXspeak as a possible solution but not sure how to go about this?

Does anyone have any other suggests or ideas for how to try and figure out whats going wrong here?

    Thanks in advance,
    Richard

I have had this problem and solved it with an uninstall and reinstall of DFX and RR. I honestly don't know specifically what caused it. I do use DFX Voice and I do not believe that was the problem. If you're going to do an uninstall/reinstall make sure to save a backup of your rr.ini.
