I did a thread search and didn't see anything useful. I have the latest version of everything. Any helpful hints on how to get the music for this skin set up?
    Do you have the RRMedia plugin installed ?

    weird, I think I've forgotten more than I ever knew about plugins. Under RRConfig, the only plugin that shows up is Weather, but under the \Program Files\RideRunner\Plugins\ folder, I see GPSLockout, InetRadioLabels, RRExtended, RRMedia, SkinTool, and Weather.

    So I guess RideRunner didn't install all those other plugins? How do I do that?

    Ok, hopefully someone here can assist me. I have been tooling around with RR and DFX 5.1.2 for the last month or so, on and off, trying to fine tune it before I install my system I am slowly getting there.

    The major hurdles I have worked on, was getting Navigator 12 to play nice, and now, my new test of will.

    I found that it was first introduced in DFX 2.0, a plugin for a police/fire scanner, which works with ARC15, an outside program that virtually controls the Scanner (here is link to the referenced program http://www.butel.nl/products/bct15/bct15.html ). It worked with several scanners, including the Uniden BCT15. Since then, they released a newer model, the BCT15X, and subsequently new software to control it (link to the referenced program http://www.butel.nl/products/arcxt/arc_xt.html ).

    As for the DFX 5.1.2 .ini I have found a couple areas where this is referenced. I changed the button #2 in DFX to 'Scanner', and it comes up with the DFX menu/controls. I had to then edit the .ini to find the correct path to the program at hand, and it did launch the program externally, but did not seem to tie in with DFX controls.

    So here are the snippets of the DFX .ini I have found so far.

    [Main Menu Button Options]

    MenuExec_28=Load;Scanner.skin;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15;C:\Program Files\BuTel\ARC15PRO\ARC15P.exe;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15
    MenuLabl_28=Scanner
    MainMenuExec_02=Load;Scanner.skin;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15;C:\Program Files\BuTel\ARC15PRO\ARC15P.exe;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15
    MainMenuLabl_02=Scanner
    [Descriptions]
    ---------------------------------------------------------------
    DescScanner=Software interface for some hardware scanner software, to control through the CarPC.
    The default pathway in the .ini is not where my program ended up getting installed, so I am assuming I have to change the DFX .ini with the correct location?

    In the "ExecTBL.ini" I found this additional information to embed an external application.

    /------------------------Embed External Applications------------------------------------
    "Scanner","Load;Scanner.skin;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15;C:\Program Files\BuTel\ARC15PRO\ARC15P.exe;RC15PRO software for Uniden BCT-15"
    "ScannerControl","SENDKEY;"{F12}||Load;Scanner2.sk in;ARC15PRO - Virtual Control PRO;$RRPath$WeatherDownloader.exe;ARC15PRO - Virtual Control PRO"
    The second part "ScannerControl" is not in the existing DFX .ini , assuming it needs to be added, but not sure where.

    Also, the other issue is that the programs that are able to be embedded in DFX you need to purchase. There is another similar program that is free, and also allows for Virtual Control of the scanner in a similar fashion, would there be any chance of this program working with DFX, or someone crafty enough to get it to? ( https://sites.google.com/site/sixspo...ducts/freescan ).

    Hopefully someone can give me a little more insight!!! Thanks!!

    I have RR working on XP.. Installed DFX 5.1.2. Every thing works but, I have after starting DFX two errors..

    1e)- DFX speak error, err #91, Source: DFXSpeak, object variable or with block variable not set.
    2e) DFX speak Error, err #429, Source: DFXspeak. ActiveX component can't create object.

    I installed SAPI SDK but no luck... RR and DFX reinstalled... no luck... Search internet.. no luck...

    So.. whats wrong?
    Thx Bob

    REALLY hoping someone can check out my question in Post #2436 - http://www.mp3car.com/rr-released-sk...ml#post1502287

    I am close to getting my PC installed, and really want to finish programming before it is installed. I suppose I could live without this function, but it would REALLY make life a lot better for me!!
