Ok, so now I guess I have to "chime in"...

Well of course that search (bea walrus ) will work great under the "All" lookup, as you have parts of an artist name and song title in the search criteria.

As for the single type searches, there was a change in how the searches were done in the newer RRMedia released with the skin. Instead of adding the wildcards to what you tried to search for internally, I made them external. So the search would be more like a search you'd do in say windows for a file. If you don't put any wildcards in the search term then its gonna search for exactly what you typed in. And because I also know that some may not like this approach, I made it an optional, by adding/changing the 'AdvSrchMode' setting under the 'Database Settings' section in the RRMediadb.ini file to 'false', will set it back to how it used to be and will add the wildcards for you when it goes to do the search. Right click on the tray icon and open the storepath location and you will find the ini there. Then just close/restart RR for it to take effect. So your artist search only would have to have been 'bea*' for it to list any artist starting with that. I ment to make a note of it and it slipped past me.

??? I didn't say it like it was a surprise to me that it worked. I was simply letting the poster know that this was an easy way to get the results he wanted.

Hope this is not double post
but I am having trouble with pictures, (image viewer)
I have got it to work now, but I cannot get the on screen controls to work,
The keyboard shortcuts work fine, but when I press a button.... my picture disappears
...image viewer crashes???
but it, continues to run in the background, and must be closed with taskmanager

I have looked at the skin file... but about all, I can do is look,
I have no idea what needs to be changed
well I think I know what needs changing I just have no idea what to change it to??

The picviewer that came w/ the installer was an older version and we didn't catch it till after the fact. Its already noted and added for the update patch when we release the patch.

Ya, that is why I said add/change b/c I could remember if the setting was there or not, so it looks like it needs to be just added as stated.

Unfortunately I cannot find a RRMediadb.ini (I have scanned my whole C Drive!) so cannot make a change the the Advanced Search Mode. I am ideally looking to press search & select the song button & type part of the song name I am looking to play or press the Artist button & type in an Artists name & then have RR show me all the songs that I have for that particular Artist so I can then either just select a song or choose to play all songs by the Artist I have searched for.....

Can anyone also please help me with how to install this Delete Song Function?

Did you install it with the skin, I ask because if you can not find that file, it sounds like you didn't install it. The default location if not changed in the install process is:

Aha yes I have found the file on my car pc (xp) it is behaving perfectly unlike my win 7 install in the house that I am using to learn on. I have found the imo file but there is no advance search try or false entry. I have a clean xp install with flash .net etc and have installed ride runner and dfx 5.3 that's it...do I need to install rrmedia as well?
