kbreeden, if you go to John's skin site for DFX4 you will see this add-on to make Iguidance not look cartoon-ish. It worked pretty good in 4 and looked great. OK, then there must be some kind of settings I'm over looking in RRConfig for the buttons to function. Would you mind kbreeden posting what settings in RRConfig and in iGuidance you have so I can get this working right. Thanks bud.

Not sure why your buttons aren't working, but iG 2011 shouldn't be any different - better or worse - in terms of its interaction with RR and DFX than previous versions of IG.

I could be wrong but I thought that I had read that in iG2011, they completely removed support for inputting coords, and that includes adding the iG coord hack, along with removing some/most of the keyboard shortcuts.

Of course if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me with the correct info.

If you still have to type all that out then something is still not right as just 'mars' should give you a listing of any thing matching '*mars*'

Worse case zip up your 'RRMedia.ini' file and your 'RRMediaDB.db' files and attach them.

Hint: you'll find the RRMediadb.db in your root musicpath

You're talking about "Theme.ini"

Forgive my ignorance on this one Blue, but what effect will that have, as in what uses that in RR/DFX, I'm guessing I just don't use whatever that would effect, but I just wanna verify as I would like to upgrade to get the updated maps of the 2011 version, but if it's gunna FUBAR me.. I think I could just live with some roads showing me I'm dukes of hazzarding it from time to time.

Yes treetop777, it is "Theme.ini". I just had myself a blond moment. OK, So can I use this Theme.ini file in DFX5 and still have the auto day/night option working??

The magic that makes iGuidance work so well in RR is a hacked up interface, but the functionality that was tapped into was removed in newer versions.

I wonder, though, if the newer map files could be copied over and used with the older program? I've done this trick with MapPoint and Streets and Trips, as the map files retained the same format.

It should; theme.ini only changes the graphics (in iGuidance) like colors and text size..
