DFX 5.1.2 Released [ Updated 04-02-12 ]

Now that I've upgraded to this new version the basic stuff i used doesn't even work now. Here's a short list of what I can remember off the top of my head:

1) the "Add Album" button does not work
2) "rescan DB" doesn't do anything when pressed
3) when it first turns on i get a massive annoying msg that says "adjusting to daylight\night" that doesn't go away even when exited out of RideRunner; I have to log off of windows then go back in for it to work
4) when i set the layout for the front to have the car logo + time and date + compass it never stays after a song is played; it changes to the song's "album cover"
5) the stopwatch doesn't work at all
6) when attempting to go back to the menu from various other menus via clicking "Menu" it doesn't do anything, and am forced to quit the program and re-open it; sometimes it works though after clicking and waiting about 10-15sec
7) the gas prices feature doesn't work at all either. clicking on the zip code button doesn't do anything either
8) when I open the calendar it just brings up a bunch of empty squares without anything shown but "Sun" - "Sat" and "Prev" and "Next" buttons

Don't get me wrong, this skin is awesome and I wouldn't use any other, but I don't quite understand why there's pretty much a requirement to pay to get rid of the annoying advertisement in the beginning that we have to stare at before using it. I would understand if everything worked how it should like a product you were to buy and then worked how it should upon initial installation...

Great skin though, John, still needs a bit of work though before it's ready for fee-based...

Just learning myself but I love this skin.... However I will say I am having the same problem listed on #3 above... Can't get the adjusting day and night to go away. Also, have to reboot. It didn't do it at first but now every time the time comes. I am trying to turn the Auto Day / Night to off to see if it fixes the issue.

Nice work. Been out the scene since 3.0 and looks like you all came a long way. Very nice work. This may not be the correct forum, but I was wondering which MAP/GPS does everyone use. I've used iG 4 in the past but noticed it hasn't been updated since 2007. I'm from the States; Which MAPS do you use?

iGuidance 2011 with new maps was released two days ago. I'm using it with DFX 5.0 and all appears to be working well. The only issue I've seen so far is that the small, gray iGuidance toolbar appears at the top of the window; it is not hidden as it was before. This is aesthetic only and not a problem. I believe it took some sort of a hack to hide that bar in earlier versions. I'm actually quite pleased with how well it's working.

Update: I just discovered that hitting the full screen icon on the tool bar will eliminate the tool bar.

Anybody else finding that often when hitting the "Cancel Route" button on the iGuidance screens rather than canceling the current destination the iGuidance "Save Current Location" screen appears? About 50% of the time it will cancel the destination, but the rest of the time it instead asks me whether I want to save the current location. This has been an issue for me with both with iG4 and iG2011.

Yep, I've seen that happen a few times too, and of course its while i'm driving and not while testing to help narrow the reason its happening..

Did you do anything special to use iG 2011 instead of iG 4?

The only difference is that the executable is now called iGuidanceNPC.exe. I needed to change that in RRConfig. Other than I didn't have to do anything.
