That is more than likely the RRMedia plugin. go to your music path root and delete the RRMediadb.db file, that is the RRMedia database. You should then be able to attempt to rescan it from a fresh start.

I can add it myself (ElcosMenu) and get it working correctly, however I choose to respect ELCAMINO wish of not using any of his creations under DFX5 and I looked for a different solution.

Actually, the DFX skin is using a custom AutoIt app that BlueZx3 and I wrote to handle the keyboard. This was written before ElcoMenu came out. I will have to look at the code and see what is going on. I think it is a simple matter of positioning.

I wrote the code, as a few of the other overlay things that I tried were really sluggish. I basically used my old code that I did for the overlay of the zoom in / zoom out on the radar screen, and the "exit button" for the full screen GPS overlay buttons. The keyboard just has a LOT more buttons

Another probably simple task.

Sirius works fine, in Line In.

However, I have the following issues.

1. How do you stop the Sirius radio? For example, I want silence in the car, nothing at all playing. Yes mute works, but that isn't the point.

2. If I have Sirius running, and I want to switch to internet radio for something else, Internet radio doesn't stop Sirius(or probably just mute line in) and play. If Sirius is not playing first, I can go into Internet Radio and play anything.

If I go out of RR and play the m3u file with the address it plays fine in WinAmp.

It's been a couple of years since I have worked with RR, so I am a bit rusty.

I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Every now and then I need to do a hard shutdown of the computer. Sometimes when I do while RR/DFX is loaded when I reload RR with DFX (i) none of the menu labels on the left and right side of the menu screens (all 4 menus) appear, and (ii) none of the menu buttons on the left and right side of the menu screens (all 4 menus) work, though the buttons at the bottom of the menu screens show the labels and execute the proper commands. This has happened happened to me about a dozen times. Interestingly, all of the menu functions, and the entire skin for that matter, continue to work when I issue the commands with RRVoice, but the menu buttons do not work or show labels.

John and Blue, is there a file that if corrupted during a hard shutdown could cause the menu labels not to appear and the related buttons not to work?

Yes, that would be the skin.ini has the settings for most of the skin. Both the button label text and the cmds that the buttons get assigned to. better question is what have you been doing to restore the skin when this happens? Reinstall it, or copy from a backup copy?

Thanks, Blue. System Restore has worked a couple of times to bring it back. When that hasn't worked, I've used Clonezilla to restore a previously saved image of my C drive. I'll make a backup skin.ini and throw it in if I have trouble from now on.

My RR greeting stopped working for no reason, but works when I test it, but not on RR startup. How do I fix and keep it that way(don't want to keep running "System Restore" for this issue)!!!

Just installed DFX 5.0.3 and really like it. Much improved and easy to work with.
I donated and downloaded the patch, then ran it.

I'm still getting the nag screen. Any auggestions? So far, this is the only thing that's not working for me !!!

I'm using the version release before they fixed the "nag splash", that I hacked. The hack is listed in this thread in an earlier post. I doubt it will work on the new release, cause I think it has more than one "nag splash", but it should give you ideas for a workaround(can you say "read only").

If I were you I'd PM the developer and ask him how to disable it....you did "DONATE", so I don't think he should have a problem....Just don't post the fix, or you may get "Banned"!!!
