Thread: DFX 5.1.2 Released [ Updated 04-02-12 ]

Having problems ebedding garmin in to the skin. I want to use garmin and igudance. I have setup Iguidance in the rrconfig and edited th Exectbl to the right path of where my garmin software is located. "Garmin","LOAD;Garmin_GPS.skin;!CDP_FIELD_WND;C:\G arminMobilePC\Que.exe;!CDP_FIELD_WND"

But i hit the buton to open it and it opens the skin but doesnt start garmin.
What am i doing wrong?

Update. I used the button editor and still have no luck. I also tried to setup my scaner app and that doent work. I dont understand any help would be appericated.

Just at thought.
Are you sure that your Garmin/MobilePC program is located in c:\GarminMobilePC\?
Sometimes the program is located in C:\program files\garminmobilepc\

road i am sure of the path and the name are right. I even test with another app i have doent work. I am not sure of the issues.

Try this..
"Garmin","LOAD;Garmin_GPS.skin||RUN;C:\GarminMobil ePC\Que.exe;!CDP_FIELD_WND"

Just make sure the path AND window name are correct.

Just a update on skin news.

First, and again, sorry about this long delay on getting out both the updated installer and accompanying patch updater! John and I both wanted them released by maybe at the latest, the end of the year. Well....here we are now, in the new year and nothing released yet. The biggest reason for this is two fold, on one side, the skin is what it is because of the time and devotion that John and I spend putting in, but with that, also comes the possibility of burning ours selves out and losing all or most of the motivation to work on it on top of whatever our daily lives throw at us. On several occasions, I have been able to muster up some motivation and getting some more done, getting us closer to being able to release these very much needed updates.

For the most part, their mostly done. The full installer needs to be checked that it has all of the newer and or updated files in it. The update patch needs the same check along with the checking that both the file backup option is working correctly and skin.ini additions are properly being added. And with a final check that all of the reported bugs and new additions are working up to our high standard.

So, with that said, I'd like to put the ETA to a date. That date being by the end of this month or within the next two weeks.
