I added a TV tuner card to my car PC. Haven't put it back into the car yet because I had to do some more fabricating to my bezel(didn't like the way the climate controls looked, plus had to add a toggle switch for the video feeds to my headrest monitors), and I'm still working on the finish(paint job).

My question is, will there be a TV function eventually added to the skin? The Simplistic II skin has it, but doesn't seem to support S&T's(deal breaker for me). For now I will be using Windows 7 Media Center for this, but hope it will be added as a feature to the skin.

    Thanks in advance!!!

TV is supported in the skin, using Winamp's TV plugin. It seems that I may have forgotten to add a main menu button for it however! The skins and images are there, I will make a TV button in the choices for the next release.

The problem that you may run into is all US television has gone digital. The analog towers were all turned off some time ago. I have seen discussion of trying to get one of the digital tuners working, but I know nothing more about it really.

On another note, it appears that I was caught on camera at CES LOL. They were rehearsing for some time, and was not aware that they were actually rolling when I decided to walk by playing with my iPhone LOL I enter from the right at around 44 seconds

    Question

I don't know if this is a bug or not but, when I exit the weather screen I go back to the menu#1, even though I execute the weather from menu 2,3 or even 4. All other stuff like plug-ins, video, net radio etc, all go back to the menu# I just left from. Thx.

It's not really a bug, as it was intentional. When the ESC command is executed (On all the other screens you mentioned, plugins ect) it goes back a single screen, to where the screen was called from.

On the weather screen, you can call other screens with the bottom buttons on that screen. Lets say for instance you were on the main weather screen, then went to Satellite, then back to the main weather screen... When you pressed the menu button on that screen, it would take you back to satellite, the last screen you were on. If you went to all different screen in the weather "section" you could have to press the menu button tons of times to actually get back to the main menu.

The only way really to around this was to hard code it to go back to menu 1 when the MENU button is pressed. You can change the command on the menu button, in a text editor, on the weather screens, from Load;Menu.skin to load;Menu(2 3 4).skin for your individual needs.

This has actually worked this way since the very first release of the DFX skin quite a few years ago. I guess you are just the first to move the weather button to a different menu screen

I never notice this until now? Why change it if it's not broke. You're right, after thinking about it for a bit, this does make more sense not to keep pressing buttons to get back too.

Then again, all you have to remember is that press&hold the menu button and it will always returns you to the Menu.skin.

    Hey Blue,

Talked to MitchJS last night on MSN and we (O.K. maybe not literally) ended up building a netradio image for MediaArt. (We actually argued over how to implement it) He created a new dir - "NetRadio" that holds the default image - "NetRadio.png" (can either be jpg, png, or gif) and then he went wild! Created a method of displaying a different image for individual URLs akin to FM Radio i.e., for the net radio station at http://66.28.209.20:80 using the format NetRadio_66.28.209.20.80.jpg will show that image as albumart whenever its played.

Should make it into next month's release. What do ya think? Can DFX5 Netradio use something like this?

I also thought since SonicXtacy is so great at scraping URLs maybe he could figure out how to grab the image from the Winamp/ Media Library/ Now Playing window, but most of my net radio is indie or so obscure Winamp cant find an image for the playing song.

I also told him if it was that easy to add NetRadio images, RRTube images should be just as easy. But it was late and he hadn't heard of RRTube.
