Wow, that's awesome news! Good luck.
Don't forget to move/copy the Rate.in_ file too, as i didn't mention it, but hopefully you would have caught that...
OT, Working hard on the release stuff here...guessing sometime tomorrow...mid-day maybe? We'll see...
Good to know, I gave it a shot. I double checked the correct path to the db and rate.in on the local machine in the db.ini and RRmedia still insists on building a new db in the network folder. Am I to leave the db and rate.in file in the network folder as well as the local folder?
Still cant seem to crack this 800X480 though.
I renamed bottombuttons.txt to 600 and dropp ed the 480 one into the root, renamed it "BottomButtons.txt
I changed general.ini to reflect the res i am trying to achieve. Font seems to be an issue an now. I have those numbers down at the bottom where the buttons are instead of labels and volume/cpu % more cut off now. I also cannot see the browser list. If I switch back to my larger test display no issue there doesn't seem to be a media path issue. Perhaps a font problem?
Here is the bottombuttons.txt I have in use with the issues.
Code:INC,DFX_Font_Color.txt L,304,537,77,42,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=2","CENTER" L,621,541,71,29,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,30,"DigitalFX Font","=E","CENTER" L,524,541,71,29,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,30,"DigitalFX Font","=F","CENTER" L,709,539,56,45,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=4","CENTER" L,599,539,47,45,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=4","CENTER" L,508,539,43,45,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=4","CENTER" L,406,541,71,40,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=3","CENTER" L,213,540,71,41,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=1","CENTER" L,8,538,83,33,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,24,"Larabiefont:B","=MENU","CENTER" L,115,541,71,43,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,40,"DigitalFX Font","=0","CENTER"

No, as those settings override the default musicpath locations. Those files should only be in one location, as its only gonna read/write to one.
Just did a quick re-test of the tmp local locations setting and works fine here. Built the db in the default loc(music folder on network path), moved files, set settings, and started RR, when into rrmedia browser and list was both there and correct
TempDbLoc=C:\Documents and Settings\Anthony\Desktop\RRMedia Data\RRMediaDB.db
TempRtLoc=C:\Documents and Settings\Anthony\Desktop\RRMedia Data\Rate.in_
Though, that part seems to work fine, when i select something to play, it creates the playlist correctly but WA wont play it.
[play issue fixed with a unreleased rr version, post May release]
Your font issue is exactly that...the font referenced in that old file is wrong, should be "DFX Font"
Here is the correct version of the file. The one from the OLD skin release, had the incorrect font name. Rename this to BottomButtons.txt and put it in the root skin folder. Then the buttons will work correctly on a 800 x 480 screen.
Keep a copy of the original named file for reference in the skin folder as well.
Ahh...Thanks! Yeah that file is the one that was in Backup user profile 1 listed as BottomButtons_480.txt Might want to check that out for release then.
As for the Database locally, I failed to follow a simple space in the root of the folder. My named folder was RRMedia DB and I had it as RRMediaDB.
It does fly now!
Almost got this all sorted out except for the Ilist/list in browser. On a regular TFT LCD I see it no problem. Switch to the 7" touch and in RR/DFX when I go into the browser the list's are empty, well really just not displayed. I made sure flash is current etc.. What handles the list's display? This is on a win7 x86 install.
Thanks, very very much.

UPDATE: Updated directX runtime and I was able to see the list, then it disappeared. I'm sending the monitor back. Apparently it does not support OpenGl nor' DirectX officially...Weird. What a waste.
This is actually the monitor here.
It is offered in the MP3car.com store. I hope they are aware of it's limitations in the CarPC application.

My first thought was that is impossible. A monitor shows what it is told to really.... Having Medal of Honor work on one monitor, and Brothers In Arms not, would cause ALL sorts of problems in the PC world.
I followed you link to the monitor and see that it is a USB monitor. That explains it! There just is not enough bandwidth in a USB cable for perfect video. They are great for many applications, but can have a lot of lag and skipped frames. The drivers probably are drawing the iList, as you said you saw it for a second, then disappears, but then not updating the list and redrawing it.
It's almost the way video over a remote desktop connection would work. Yea, if you want video and iLists, you need to stick with a VGA. HDMI, DVI monitor for sure.

On another note.... and something tells me, there just may be an update to DFX here in the very near future
