Thread: Uconnect Touch (Updated 7/10/12)

being a jeep driver, I was already sucked in to the uconnect title.great oem look, but i run a 7inch screen in the car, would the icons along the bottom take up too much screen real estate?
I obviously haven't yet tried in the car but that is my second impression (1st is how sleek this thing looks;-))

I hope this going to pleases you, I had to leave off the top bar because there was no room and iGO refuses to shrink.

Both iGO 8 and iGO 8.3.x are supported in next UCT version.

I also have 7" screen and in my mind bottom buttons/icons are perfect size and easy to hit. Naturally it's matter of taste, others want huge buttons and others want so small that you need touch pen to operate them.
Originally UCT runs is 8.4" screen in Chrysler and Dodge so there is more space, I had to squeeze bottom icons little to get more space other stuff but I think skin is quite balanced now.

Edit: Don't let screenshots fool you, icons are much smaller when running in 7" wide screen with 800x600 resolution.

1. Thanks for explaining. I just looks at the op and it looked to be made of for 4:3 format.
2. I go 8.3 support is ALWAYS appreciated ;-)
3. I can see on top right hand corne rof your screen you have tempin and tempout. where is the data for this coming from? Are you using the temper usb thermometer?

I use 1 wire usb thermometer and Mitch's MJS Gadgets 1-Wire plugin which is not released to public yet, but you could ask plugin from Mitch via pm if you are interested.
Here is link to shop where you can purchase 1 wire adapter (USB9097) and sensors separately or 2-10 sensors kits.

Digital sensors are very accurate, unlike analog crap which vary several degrees.

Gosh, where all the fun without the tweaking! Now iGO 8.3.x fits perfectly

... if someone want modified iGO 8.3.x... let me know.

ok cool, so I am assuming you have 2 probes attached? or 2 usb units?
