Hi Chuck, on one of your XM radio weather buttons you have the following:
"XMFAV||MENU;XM weather.skin;XM||XMCHAN;213"
Can you please walk me through what this is doing? To me it seems like it's cycling through your favorites playlists/channels, then going to the menu skin, then to XM weather skin, then back to XM, and finally selecting XM channel 213. Is this right? I'm a beginner trying to learn. I'd try it myself, but the XM will only run in the car, and it won't work on my 7" 800x480 screen. Thanks.
My weather button
"XMFAV||MENU;XM weather.skin;XM||XMCHAN;213"
The first command “XMFAV” will switch the xm play list – for this to work properly set your xm up with only one play list so xm will toggle between all channels and your favorites.
The next command “MENU;XM weather.skin” starts xm weather menu with all the weather channels – from here you can go to sports and news channels.
The next command is just the talk Xm – should change to xm weather if you use voice enabled in RR config.
The next command “XMCHAN;213” changes xm to your local weather channel
The rundown
When you push the weather button xm switches to all channels then starts weather menu and tunes to your weather channel.
When you hit the exit from xm weather menu it will switches back to your favorites list and to your previous channel and back to xm skin.
On my next skin update I will put localweather in the ExecTBL.ini so it will be better to change your local weather.
Chuck:
First off, got to love the first post to a forum. Been here for a while reading, reading and more reading. This has become my favorate skin to date. Had some trouble getting the weather up and running, but when I installed to the car-pc, all was well. Not real sure why my home PC will not create the myweather.xml and mywsearch.xml files. but it will not. No big deal, car-pc does.
Here is the questiong:
When you post that you have updated, does your download zip contain the updates?

And BTW, I like the quick exit on the clock function and the HUGE clock when you click RR.See, I did read this forum many a times
