I know if you "grab" and drag the toolbar off the docked position it will float.. then you can close it. However every time you reboot (maybe even restart ig) it will reappear. =TOriginally Posted by raymondrza
@TheFaze
I'm not sure how to do this. I think the visu might be audioplayer specific. Nice idea tho.

Am I incorrectly claiming to have embeded Iguidance, or am I just confusing the floating toolbar term? Either way, I think my problem is better described with the attachment.... Thanks for any help

ohhh, hmm that is strange. It looks like maybe your RR doesn't know the window name so it's putting in the window name graphics as well. Seems strange. The only time I've seen that happen is when the name of the window wasn't specified correctly in one of the config files.
This is my menu.skin entry:
B06,540,212,300,80,"LOAD;IGUIDANCE.skin;iGuidance;C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidance.exe;!IntellinavWCls!iGuidance",""
and this is my RR.ini:
gpspath=C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidance.exe
gpsname=Iguidance
I had to do all this manually as config.exe only launches in memory on my 98 machine....I used an XP box to create the RR.ini and copied it over....

Try:
gpsname=iGuidance
in RR.ini
I have noticed that case does seem to matter. So iGuidance instead of Iguidance could do it. let me know.
no dice, i even copy/pasted it.... thanks anyways....Originally Posted by wishbone

try !iGuidance
no idea what the "!" does but that seems to work as well sometimes =)
has anyone noticed any errors in the on screen keyboard when trying to use firefox or IE?
it seems like it repeats the same key, or it doesnt move the cursor forward as you are typing and so you end up with the last letter you typed as the only letter in the address bar.
is there something that I am doing wrong?
this is a great skin by the way.
thanks
@ doctordl
I've had this before but I don't think it's to do with the skin, it's more an RR thing. Have you got the latest version of RR? Try that to see if it cures the problem.
@raymondrza
This is a strange one. It does seem to be a window name problem as suggested by others. It might also have something to do with WIndows 98. Try this as your menu.skin entry for GPS:
B06,540,212,300,80,"LOAD;IGUIDANCE.skin;iGuidance;C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance\iGuidance.exe;iGuidance",""
** NOTE: for some reason the forum is putting a SPACE between the semi-colon ( ; ) and C:\Program Files.... This should not be there - please delete it if copying n pasting) **
This has no class name (Windows 98 may have a different class naming system). The class name is the part between the !s. This version just has the window name "iGuidance". There should be no difference in the way it embeds. Hope this helps!
