Simplistique Skin Release - download and screenshots

Hi lloydy, I like your skin very much (one of the best skins) but I do not use iGuidance. I work with MapMonkey or FreeDrive. How can I use (embed) this front ends in your skin? Please, can you help this newbie?

NVM did a search and fixed teh problem...

lloyd if you can im me via aim i'd appreciate it. Have some specific question on how you installed the screen adn tapped into teh wires and such being that u have an e46 also

The clock logo is real nice, but when I try to use it with the simplistique skin none of the menu buttons works after I touch the logo and it switches to the clock. I can move the mouse but no response nomather what i click on in the skin except the clock itself.

Any way to fix this Steve?

I haven't had chance to use the new clock logos as yet. I'm waiting for them all to be finished off before I go tinkering again. They look nice though and we will hopefully be working together to get a nice full new version of this skin out. As a result, I can't really help you with this one. Could be a problem with the menu.skin file or something.

I don't tend to use IM much as I get harrassed everytime I log in! But I use email all the time and have email with me at all times using a PDA. Feel free to email any Q's and I'll answer them as best I can.

This should be easy enough. There are already skin images made for this aswell. You have to change the menu.skin file to go to your FreeDrive program instead of to iGuidance. Also the skin file it loads will need to be changed to the corersponding file. I think it's called "destinator.skin" or something similar. Unfortunately I am not at my main PC at the moment where all the files are (and never seem to be these days!). So go to menu.skin: where the GPS button is, change the skin file after the LOAD command to destinator.skin and the program it loads to the file path of FreeDrive [e.g. instead of c:\program files..\iGuidance change to C:\program files\FreeDrive\FreeDrive.exe])

This might be to do with where the PowerDVD app is installed. Make sure the path to load it is correct in the menu.skin file. Also, I think the latest version of PowerDVD isn't as friendly so try PowerDVD 5 to see if that help.

Sorry everyone for the hassle. Please bear with me getting all this sorted. I'm dedicating this weekend to getting all my stuff sorted - I've gotta reinstall Windows etc etc and start again as my whole machine is playing up along with getting the skin issues ironed out. I've also blown a speaker which isnt nice - just makes pops now! The joys of carPC-ing...

diskey - I haven't had any reports of the clocks doing this. If you would like to email me you menu.skin file, i will see if thats the problem. Whats the specs of your PC ? My email link is on my WEB site.

First off I want to tell you that I love you skin.

I know this has been brought up before on the ability to control the music (play/pause, next, prev) from main menu. I don't have controls on my steering wheel and would love to see the changes implemented. I dont think it will clutter the menu at all. I like having the main meun up with the logo clock

What version on PowerDvd works the best with your skin can't seem to get the deluxe version to work

again I love the skin

First: Great skin Lloydy. Keep up the good work.

I was wondering if someone could give me a hand. I have read this thread 2 times and tried post #60 but still no good. I am trying to get skinbedder to work properly with this skin. I have it working with the OEM skin already.
