Thread: Simplistique Skin Release - download and screenshots

I did change the fonts on the scrolling title bar on the top of screen as screenshot shows, to be more unitary with the rest of the fonts. Might be nice?
I do think the overall orange colour is a little bit too orange. What file do I edit to change colour to red for example?

what process did you go through to change the font used? is it as simple as specifying the font in the skin files? I will have to go in and see as that looks way better than the old digital clock look.

Also, I like the orange, but if you want to change it, I think there is an orange version of most screens from where it selects what area to use as the "pressed" or selected area.. just select the color in photoshop and replace it with something else... i might change mine to a blue of some kind

thnikkamax: Yeah.. but when I have changed all the skin pictures in pshop, there will be red buttons etc.. but I guess still orange fonts right? Answer to your Q: I used a search and replace tool to search all files in the simplistique folder and changed from the Digital_Readout_Thick_Upright (not sure about the underline...) to dotmatrix.... Just wanted to see if it looked any better and it did as far as my judgement goes. I would suggest to make backups before replacing

wow.. i did it the hard way and changed everything manually.. but in doing that, I noticed that the RGB color specification is a part of the whole line.

255,102,0 is the Orange value. Using your same method, Find/Replace "255,102,0" and switch it with another RGB color of your liking. The only way you can go wrong with that swap is if 255,102,0 happens to be part of an x, y, w, etc command so you have to make sure it's the RGB part.

ok - well I´ll just have to try some digits then or is there any list of what colours equals specific numbers?

You can use "actual search and replace" which I downloaded from cnet.com, and also - the center logo has a wider border because its the one with flash clock which is touch-sensitive

you'd have to use the skinmaker and add buttons... and then edit the images to put a visual button on the screen so you'd know where to click. i edited the music section so that the entire display except for the top area shows the winamp milk drop visual when i click on the lightning. and since i did that, i needed a way to get to the next song when the "almost" full screen visual was running. so i added a next/previous button (exactly as they look on the GPS skin). i love it, much more than how it previously was.

i'll get a screen shot of it and show you guys tomorrow. i wouldn't doubt that most of you will prefer it, if you like using the visual like i do.

Dos the TV skin work properly? I have installed an Avermedia AverTV Hybrid DVB-T/Analogue TV + FM Radio PCI card and AverTV 6.0 (spanish). I have modified AverTV.skin and menu.skin to match with the app name of AverTV in spanish and i launches the application properly but I do not see any change when pressing the buttons. I am waiting for my DVB-T hirschmann antenna to improve the reception:

Could you tell me if everything works OK in your installation and if you are going to include new TV support in your next release?

Here's a quick fix I did... i went into the menu.skin and menu2.skin files. I changed the command for the Volume UP and Volume DOWN buttons so that instead they would be NEXT and PREVIOUS (take a look at the audio_player.skin file to check what the actual command is).

you can already change the volume by tapping on either side of the Volume bar, so having the buttons is kind of redundant.

I physically changed the graphic as well, and turned the MUTE button into the play button. I can mute the audio through my head unit, so I don't need a mute button on that screen.

I'll post a screen shot in a bit.
