Thread: Simplistique Skin Release - download and screenshots

Apologies for abandoning this project over past few weeks. I've been having a hectic time. Trying to fundraise for the Mongol Rally (which leaves in a onth's time) and carrying on with my research (building apps for Windows Mobile etc). Ive had to put this on a back burner. My own carputer is in a hell of a state at the moment. I recently reinstalled windows as I was having some serious issues. I now only have music in my car working - all the other functions need to be fixed before I can use them (like GPS etc). Ive also blown both my rear speakers from having music too load - typical! They were crap speakers anyway.

When I get the time I will definately spark development of the skin back up again. I've also found that the newer versions of RR cause problems. I think I'll go back to pre-gesture RR when things were running smoother.

The font change is ncie. I like it. The digital readout was the second (after Arial) font I tried and thought it was quite nice. But as we can see - using dot matrix there is proabably nicer. Nice find. I will probably do this in the next beta release.

Sorry about the AverTV thing. Mine doesn't work either as all the commands have changed in Aver TV 6.0. If you can find the download of the older version of AverTV this will work fine.

i used a font called DS-Digital, and input it as "DS-Digital Bold Italic" or "DS-Digital Italic" when needed. I downloaded off of www.dafont.com

Some of the Digital Readout characters were a bit strange.. as if they were manipulated to look "digital." DS-Digital is a much better font than Digital Readout. You do have to mess with the font sizes though... A LOT!

That was really nice! If it wouldnt be to much trouble, can you send your modified version to me? The fonts are more clean and changing song is perfect!

any chance of you posting the Nissan logo, and modded menu skin for us fellow Nissan guys

The Nisaan logo is one of my creations. Its actually a flash object which when you touch changes from the logo to a clock, speedo and compass.

There is a new version which will be released of these flash objects which makes their colour schemes and logo selection fully customisable by the end-user.

Download link is working fine (I got it last night). Lloydy, I've noticed you didn't include the font files in the package you've got on the first page there. If you're keen on the fonts package, dl the latest version from this thread, hit up rrdownloads.net and get the skin from there as the font files are in that package.

Besides that, wicked wicked skin mate. Really impressed. Clean, fast and looks awesome. Only thing I'd really like is maybe the psds, just wanted to try and create a cd rip screen. No biggie though.
