i havent added the album art myself, windows xp pro seems to has populated it for me, is this via windows media player do you think? where does it keep these files?

EDIT: volume slider not working on any screen at the moment, i dont think ive edited it, just taken off the gestures as i couldnt drag and drop easily. Volume does change, its just not displayed with orange bars, its permanently grey.

LLOYDY, is there a particular reason you went with an external dvd (powerDVD) for your skin, instead of skinning the "internal" one (MPC) that RR uses natively? I haven't tired this yet, but it might help with the green CONTROLS issues.

I've done some searching, but I can't find any particular advantages of using an external DVD player other than preference. Also just to be clear, the (SPACE) doesnt' work for me even if the DVD is already inserted before running the DVD function. Only (ENTER) would work. Maybe we're using different versions or your set to auto run or something? I've noticed in my version of PowerDVD (SPACE) activates/deactivates the pause function. Also I've seen guino has mentioned in previous threads that even the internal player will not work if you do not insert a dvd before you run the player. I haven't actually tested my (ENTER) "fix" with this kind of behavior yet, so I'm not sure if it will fix that particular issue.

I had to change that button to ENTER for it work on mine w/ PowerDVD...and then added a SPACE button for pause.

One advantage I see is PowerDVD can resume where I left off on the DVD if I stopped it or switched to another screen.... could never get resume to work with the "built in" media player classic.

hmm good call on the resume. Does the built in player still have that annoying "CONTROLS" green text every time you hit the screen?

...... I think so but I'll have to check. I think that's a function of Road Runner and not the dvd player software though...

Sorry to hear about this. It sounds quite nasty. I can't think of an immediate solution to this problem. Does it happen with other skins or just my one? Are you using iGuidance Europe or the US one?

Well some progress. I overlooked the serial being disabled in the bios. I enabled it and didn't recieve the minidump/critical failure msg. Its a little funny because its a usb gps reciever w/ a serial emulator... Oh well whatever works. At that point I had were midway through the remove this software reboot stage. I put RR back on and loaded up the skins. Base skin worked from the start and opened GPS fine. I added the your skin and failure on RR start. Then I tried my old MC2.0 skin and the same fate. Im missing something somewhere.

I'm using the US version of Iguidance. I changed the RRConfig file and the menu.skin file (got rid of the "/Iguidance Europe/" part of it).

Oh yeah I used the installshield RR version off of Guino's site, and an older installshield version from 9-23-05(i think).

First off - Excellent skin. I like.... A LOT.

Can someone give me an idiots guide on how to embed Freedrive (1.0) into this skin? What to edit etc...

Embedding is a RR feature not a skin related feature. All you really need to do change the menu.skin file to use the load the destinator skin and for it to embed freedrive instead of iGuidance.

e.g.
"LOAD;DESTINATOR.skin;########;C:\Program Files\*****\******.exe;!xxxxxxx!######"

- Replace #### with the name of the FreeDrive window
- Replace **** with the Freedrive fodler location and .exe file
- Replace xxxxx with Freedrive's class name (use wininspector spy program for this- do a search for more info)

That should do it.
