RRconfig (rr.ini) and iDrive config (iDrive.ini) are two totally different entities, both have to be set to the correct GPS program.

So yes even if you have set iGuidance in RRconfig, you still have to go to the config screen to choose with GPS you are using.

Just downloaded both versions of the latest iDrive. They open as they should but the button labels are not visible. I don't want to open them in the roadrunner skin editor because of the problems I had in the past with that so I opened a .skn file in notepad and saw there was a "#Fore#" where usualy the color codes are. I think this could be the problem. What's the meaning of the "#Fore#"? Why doesn't it work on my (Deskop) PC? Any ideas? Thanx!

PS- Looks a lot nicer then my night skin. Very good job!

-Edit- Yep, seems like this is the problem. Changed the colourcodes of the entertainment skin all to "255,255,255" and there they are. But do I have to do this now for all the screens? I guess you have a better solution.

Anyway, now it works. Looks really nice. The new phone, BMW and speed logos are a lot nicer then before and also the night skin looks sweet! I bumped on another problem though. I'm using iGuidance 2.1.3. In the Day skin everyting works fine but in the night skin when I try to go to fulscreen this happens:



iGuidance changes as it should but roadrunner is acting weird. As you can see everything is gone except the little bit in the bottom middle. This is a part of the volume. when I click left of the "10" it mutes. So it seems the left part sits in the middle and the rest is gone??

This is the Night version isn't it?


replace your gps-full.skin with this one.

Ooops, hadn't really thought about that. Have to look at a work around for that.

Theorectically if you choose Road Runner you don't have a GPS program loaded and therefore don't need a button to transfer to it. Guess you might still want the logo though. Will change that.

That's how those buttons work in the video screen. AFAIK


4. On navi screen there is no OSK button

Which navi are you using?

5. Some symbols do not work in OSK: ; ! % ^ ( ) + ~

I know there are some that don't work, but didn't think there were that many. Will look into it.

6. On the launch screen there is no selection highlight

in Launch.skin there is a line begining with a 'S' chenge the third #Fore# to #Selected#. Cheers for that one didn't pick it up

7. Any open application on the launch screen overlaps all buttos on this screen

That's by design, to get out of that screen press the BMW logo which takes you back to main menu. If that's covered as well then you haven't got the right window name of the app in the apps ini

8. Mute button does not show status of muting

Yeah, I know, still haven't found a nice solution to displaying that, so have left it off for now.

9. 'Go back' buttons on audio/video screens goes directly to main menu

That's from the original design, I've never seen a reason to change it, but I guess since I have added the Menu (BMW logo) button I should change that to a back button

Also, I found buttons on the low bar are small for my taste.
