^ no doubt about that! Also I am think I am going to incorporate both concepts into a single skin. In the settings menu you will have the option to select "Classic View" or "Orbital View"

I don't think there is any problem in doing it this way? Not that I can think of.

Not fond of the ratings stars on the main menu; should only be in the audio player screen IMO. What's the purpose of the arrows next to the album art?

read the whole post before asking questions, we are still only on page three...not that much to read through.

they are to switch between album art.

ihateafropaul: question: do you have multiple album are for your tracks? because I do not, just wondering. thinking of best use of all screen real estate.

Oh, sorry, post 1 keep changing.

Switch between album art and what? Visualization? If so, you don't need arrows, all you need to do is define the "onartclick (or something like that)" command (if it's embeded art)

If not for Visu, then switch to what? - oh! wait - let me go back to post 1 and see if the answer is there now!

Well my original idea is to have it switch between album art and like a visualization screen something like

    http://www.visolu.com/TwistedPixel/

    or

    or

you get the idea. Or possibly more information, Album title, track number, genre, all that crap I guess. Right now it is up in the air, I figured I would put them there....and you will just have to wait and see what I do with them

as for the five star I am planning on making it dynamic. So far songs you haven't rated or haven't listened to, you can quickly rate it buy just tapping the stars. It will just be a count up type interface, so that way you dont have to be accurate. You tap it once and it rates it 5 stars, tap the area again 4 stars, tap again 3 stars.... 2.... 1 not rated...

That's my idea at least. If anyone has a better idea, or a different idea to implement this, feel free to chime in.

See! I have so much to learn about RR, remember all this art is just a concept. I figure if I can get things in Photoshop and Flash, I can take, and pick and choose layer styles and things I like. So nothing is finalized, and the arrows...like I said, we will just wait and see

gah... who the let me get on a computer? I can only imagine how long it took me it to get signed in.

All better now, ha. Anyways, with the addition of the stars, it seems to clutter up the Now playing module. I support treetop, and say just use an on art click to load a small menu over the album art, that you can display more info about the track, like Album, Genre, etc., and have your star rating there. Keeps it looking clean. It looks too busy as is.

Also, the bigger buttons are nice, but they are almost too large, if that's possible. I think they need to be spread out more... maybe if u plan to move the Pictures Icon to the next set, u can free up room along the top to spread them out. (some of us have fat fingers) haha. Also, whats the intended purpose of the folder icon on the media bar? I was thinkin maybe u could eliminate that and spread those out as well. After that, I think the button size should be pretty good!

For indicators, there is really only need for 1 volume label... and I like the one at the bottom without the slider, the slider is just over kill, I should know how much 95% is without having to look at a slider. The one at the bottom lets me take a quick look at the volume, and adjust it without having to look at 2 opposite areas of the screen. Also, mute, shuffle, repeat, can all be indicated with their buttons I believe. I would replace these indicators with WIFI, Bluetooth, HD radio, or something along those lines.

All in all, I'd say there has been some serious progress made on the concept. It looks great right now, Id certainly be interested in using it when released. Oh, and sorry again for the random sloppy post...
