Those are variables from FreeDrive that were incorpoated into RR back in 2006 or 7. Yes, I still use FreeDrive because its so tightly integrated into RR.

I edited the exectbl.ini and added:
"ONARTCLICKED","LOAD;AA.SKIN"
"TIMER","LOAD;SS.SKIN",

The first switches to my aa.skin whenever I click on the albumart. The second automatically switches to my screensaver ss.skin after a preset "tmr" in each .skin file.

Well I guess I'd be willing to bastardize the audio player.skin to create one and send it to you to cleanup, if you're interested. While I'm thinking of it, I would like to request a button change - replace the SETTINGS button with a NEXT button and create a second main screen. I'm gonna need the extra real estate for FM, XM, DVD, TPMS, ODBII, and the rest of my screens. :cool::smokin:

I like those ideas - the screensaver and the art one. I'll create them on my side here.

It took me 2 days to figure it out, but I think lastnight was a breakthrough. I got the visu options figured out, so there won't be an issue with switching screens with the visu on or off. I'm proud of myself for that.

I'll also add to the audio_player and audio_browser the large albumart to show up underneath the visualization... and if you don't use transparent it just won't show. Tested it out lastnight and I kinda like it.

I can do a menu2 aswell... just now reaching past what my setup will do (ie I don't have many more options hooked up). The video player skin will be next on my list, and I was planning on incorporating the DVD player to it. Or at least making the video player button hold be the dvd player button. I guess if I move to customizable buttons that won't work so well, and would also change the gps and audio buttons... hmmm Something to think about. At least that could be changed later on.

So much to do and even worse now that someone else is giving input :D It'll get there.

Okay, so a bit of an update here, with an updated zip file in the first post.

I've created an aa.skin to show just the album art - as you Giz mentioned above (let me know what you think of the size/position. It's essentially a 500x500 area in the middle of the bottom
Also added is the ss.skin that will load after a set time on any screen. I haven't set any times on any screens, as I'll leave that up to the user to decide what works for them. But if you're wanting to get to the screensaver (ss.skin) then you can just hold albumart in the top section on any screen and get there. I'm using the 'spinninglogo.swf' as the clock, cause it's the only one I had... well other than BDClock, but that just looked weird and out of place, but it could work for some. Maybe it's just me and having a hard time reading time like that. To exit the screensaver, just click anywhere that isn't the flash.. cause it doesn't take the clicks.

For the album art - put it in the middle of the VIS section? or side and have some other info on the left? Lyrics? Too much?

I guess I could take a look at other FM/XM skins from people and see what I can do with it here. Just wouldn't be able to test it.

I've updated the mixer images, jumpto screen, exitmenu, audio player/browser.
Adjusted every screen to add the checkvis and albumart click. I'm sure there's something else I'm missing, but I'm going to still be working on things today, so the file will likely be updated by the end of the night. I'm going to work on the audio player/browser some more, have a few buttons to add in.

Updated the screencaps on page 1 as well.

I was waiting till today to send you what I have. I'll upload my additions (radio & XM) a little later today.

I should mention now that your top info in your "topbuttons.inc" is going to need some extensive modifications to accommode all the different audio sources I'm adding. Check out this thread for how I modified the exectbl.ini of DFX4 to swapout the info for the different sources.

I've been tweaking a few things and getting a menu2 setup. I was almost right on with your ss screen when I did mine - Though I just now found that clock - that makes it better, I've chosen another one from DFX4 though... personal preference really.

I'll take a look into the different audio source modifications.... sometime.

Question - what should be on the menu2.skin?? I'm drawing a blank. I'm more meaning for the huge section below, not so much the buttons - but ideas would be nice. Should I still have the gauges and info like on menu.skin?

Okay - more updates done and all updated in the zip.

I would recommend getting this one as I've changed a bunch of things on every screen. Created the 'theme' dimmer. Have menu2.skin created - and icons for FM and XM - just need to create those screens.... and all the work around the topbuttons like you mentioned.

Still need to update the audio player and browser, but those will be 'quick' changes later on - add buttons to do things like load/add/remove

Will likely change the latitude/log/altitude labels once I actually try this out in the car tomorrow.

Hey Giz - were you on the phone when you took those screen caps? If not then that's a little odd (unless you edited the shots).

Actually no but I don't have my phone configured for you skin yet.

Attached are my radio, xm, and numosk .skin files. You'll have to give me a couple days to fully map the labels that I would suggest you put in the "include.inc" (busy at work) or you may want to PM Mitch and get the full list of current label data transitions for the different audiosources. One thing I did was put the Radio signal on top of the song slider and for XM put the sat signal there.

that's odd then... cause the green phone indicator should only be showing if you're in a call. the bluetooth shows when you're connected via mobilephone.net

Don't worry about rushing the label maps... I likely won't get to it till at least next weekend. Might get some basic things figured out, pending time - and relaxing after work rather than working. And I've got some other areas to work on to make what's already there a bit better.
