okay, scratch the indicator issue... it helps if the other screen on images have something to indicate
any ideas about the button though?
Should I share what I've got created so far to be ripped apart?
I'm back at it... well never really stopped.
Running into a slight bump. Trying to get an indicator showing up on any screen that's relating to the mobilephone.net plugin.
The indicator works well on the mobilephone.net screen, but not on any other screen. Do I need to work with some variables or am I missing something more simple?
It's not just with the phone. I moved the obdmpg reset buttons to a tools screen and they're no longer working.

I like the idea of the tall screen... for a larger screen like you have it works great!
Nice gauges BTW![]()

Umm... yea.. Thanks!!
Was gonna ask you once I get other things sorted out if I could possibly get the flash files to do a colour change on them. Or I might actually have a stab at my own gauge to match the car more.
Those icons being used may look familiar tooI don't claim to have designed it all... just putting it together.

alrighty, I'll finish another screen or 2 and trim it all down and get only the necessary stuff into one folder and put it up somewhere for downloading. Expect something by the weekend.
I'm doing a full GPS option as well, will see how well things work with that.
As long as including the flash gauges taken from other skins/plugins is okay. DFX4 and OBDMPG flash gauges are what I'm talking about. I'm also using the font from elite cause I like it.

Okay, well a little later than a week... but I got a bit more tweaked and layed out.
Still got lots to do on what's already there, and then add more to it.
Check out the first post for a link and update info.

Well I made quite the little improvement for my setup... guess this could either go here or in my build thread... I figure here is better cause it's more for the skin to use.
Having not really figured out a way to dim the screen when it becomes night time (and not blind me while driving), I have been using GAMMA/DIMMER to reduce the screen brightness. The main hurtle was since I'm using the full HP tablet (screen and all) that I couldn't control the Light sensor brightness due to the fn key not registering. I even tried the ctrl/fn key swap.
I just now created an AutoIT script to run the HP QuickLaunch that I customized the order/display of options to only show the ALS. So the script runs the program, waits then hits enter. Trying this with sendkey didn't work as the key was being sent too soon.
Thought I'd post this cause I'm proud of myself... and maybe it'll help someone else. And it's also included in the skin - attached to first post.

This was a fun skin to play with up and down the highway! Love the integration of the different plugins on the main skin. Some suggestions:
1. Fill the void just above the gauges on the menu.skin with labels and variables for currentcity, currentcounty, currentstate, currentzip. I even added a ETA, ETR, and customfdroute line from my Nav engine for up-to-date routing info. (I saw you had commented out some info for that spot).
2. I know this is just my personal preference, but I replaced the useless DFX_SatStrengthzz guage with my altimeter guage (thanks again, tokragua)
3. Have you considered putting the album art under the audio_player.skin vis section - that would make for one large album cover.
4. I put a button ("VISU") on the "AVS" label to turn the vis on/off.
5. All the "VOLUME" labels on the mixer EQ make it look too cluttered, just put an oversized "E" on the left and an oversized "Q" on the right and be done with it.
6.For those few times that I want a clean screen, I created an AA.SKIN that has the top audio section and the bottom 2/3 is albumArt and a screensaver style SS.SKIN with nothing but the background with the TRACKNAME and Flash clock in the middle (borrowed GPS_FULL.SKIN).
Man I like where this is headed! This is a great concept with boundless potential. Can't wait to see what you add next. If you do FM, I'll see about adding XM.

Well like you said I have some things in there from my previous ideas. I don't know whether it's just my setup or what, but I wasn't getting any information from the city/county/state/, so that's why I uncommented it. I agree I need to work on that area a bit more. How did you pull the ETA ETR and customfdroute?? That would be great to include.
that's the fun things with skins, You can make them more to suit your needs.2. I know this is just my personal preference, but I replaced the useless DFX_SatStrengthzz guage with my altimeter guage (thanks again, tokragua)
Are you meaning to have it hidden under the vis? So that when you turn off the vis it shows the album art?3. Have you considered putting the album art under the audio_player.skin vis section - that would make for one large album cover.
The only issue I see with this is whenyou switch to another screen, cause of how I've programmed the buttons. But after reading this, I had a great thought in the shower. When the visu is on, set a variable to "||visu" and put that in the button code. And if the visu is off set that variable to "". That way if the visu is on it'll turn off when switching screens and if it's off it won't do anything extra. Make sense?4. I put a button ("VISU") on the "AVS" label to turn the vis on/off.
Yea I haven't gotten to finish the EQ screen. I was thinking of the E and Q like you said, and then possibly putting the EQnumbers there instead of the 'volume' that is there.5. All the "VOLUME" labels on the mixer EQ make it look too cluttered, just put an oversized "E" on the left and an oversized "Q" on the right and be done with it.
Excellent, where did you link those to? I like the idea. I'll be changing the gps_full skin, don't know why I moved the top buttons like I did.... mute will be moved to the right and the rew play fwd will be back to the same as the other screens6.For those few times that I want a clean screen, I created an AA.SKIN that has the top audio section and the bottom 2/3 is albumArt and a screensaver style SS.SKIN with nothing but the background with the TRACKNAME and Flash clock in the middle (borrowed GPS_FULL.SKIN).
I'm just happy that someone is liking it, didn't think that would happen.Man I like where this is headed! This is a great concept with boundless potential. Can't wait to see what you add next. If you do FM, I'll see about adding XM.
I can't see myself doing radio anytime soon, as I don't have a receiver to figure out how it works. I'll have some more tweaked up in a few days and let you have another stab at it.
