Genesis Project

One day me and El Camino were chatting on IM , out of what i was saying gave El Ideas,
BASS was found. Bass is just player nothing more, (you will also find Bass player used by the Famous MediaPortal Home HTPC frontend as default player)
which we took and made use of its functions , allow us to make a Plugin that now talks directly to the player,

whats the idea

No idea lol... we were just playing and this is the result, it includes all the feature you would expect from AWRR, plus more , now we have our own CD Ripper, Shoutcast ,Audio browser .The use of FreeCDDB either local or via internet.

1st off , this is not a remake of RRmedia , RRmedia is totally different Plugin , we are not trying to remake This plugin , all we sort of intended , is a easy to use plugin , thats not full of features that we don't need , ie Shoutcast , pure and simple , search station , select ,play station , no extra labels , buttons that you will only look at once or use once....

The Skin and Bass PI ,, are now being supported by Windows 7 ,,, basically if it dose not work UNDER windows 7 ,, its not included in the skin Support.....

Menu

by Switching Opt 1 Knob ,, this will change the vu meters to visuals ,,
Opt 2 Knob will switch the Logo to Album Art
The Big Selector Knob at the top ,, this changes the top row of Button s to Menu 1-3 ,,
this DOSE NOT change the scr ,, just the Button cmd & Labels

Player

Pretty Standard Player ,, the top buttons select the audio source that Bass offers.
Switch bottom left ,, If led is Green this Switch is Active,, Meaning there's extra options

Browser

Browser scr offers alot of tricks here ,,, you can select either bass browser or RR browser
either List mode or Grid Mode (Bass ONLY)
Search any source that Bass offers , ie . inet radio,,yt , Music via selector knob
to search just hit the search button ,, If options are available these will appear

I have been along since ranger and it sure have been worth the ride. I have been testing and giving my opinions as work was done. I will for sure stick with this skin, it easy to understand and have the features you would need on the road, what's the idea of more than that?

Personal i cant wait for my plugins to be added, it fun beeing a tester :-D

Just A progress update ,

Genesis Project now has its own Web site , this has all the info , and updates for the project , plus more ,,,

I have took John & Blues idea of bug tracker , which is apart of the web site,

If you wish to be apart of the beta team , when we are ready , just Reg yourself to Bugtracker , Password is automatically sent to you via your e-mail , Bug tracker will only be for Beta testing , apon full release will be used for any other bugs found.....

this project is still a little way off yet , still alot to do , just to get a basic beta release .
