I'm noticing in a few of the screen shots that the Eng indicator is present. Does Elite2 have a skin for RRVM? Has anyone converted the artwork over to Elite2?
Suave, thanks for the quick reply. I'd already read post #96. But in #1 and #4 I see the indicators and was thinking that maybe there was some functionality but not complete as in #96. Good work BTW. This is the best skin out there even in its Alpha form. Keep it up!
I'm pretty new ar RR...couple of issues. Trying to load iGuidance, I get a screen loading error "gps_menu.skin not found".
Am I right to assume I need RRConfig to set everthing up? (Not just NAV)
And apparently, I have no rr.ini file anywhere on my computer!?
Also, my album art looks like *** in RR (stretched, low rez), however it displays nicely in CF.
Now in regards to behavious, first the list won show up until I click on the up down arrows on the left side. When I do the list appears and the menu changes at the bottom with more preset options (Add, edit, delete) sort of thing... If I hit the back button, the radio page stays on but the list of radio channels goes away as well as the different menu. Basically I have to hit the back button twice in order to get out and back to the main screen.
One more obvious bug is, now, everytime I go on the power section and click restart RR, the program crashes and gives me that "The program as unexpectedly crash" would you like windows to depug - close the program etc.... It's probably not in those exact words I just don't have my carpc infront of me right now. I wonder if this is related. I did a few tweeks yesterday, this tweek was more extensive since it was writing codes but the rest were just basic stuff from RRconfig. I tried remembering all the tweek from RRconfig but the problem persist.
I'll copy paste the original code back in and see if the problem is still there... I know this is a Alpha version and I shouldn't expect everything to work 100%, just trying to help test it out
Jeunefred, when you click radio / hd radio it will load the radio_player.skin, when you click on the radio_player.skin up and down arrows it loads the radio_player_2.skin which a different skin. This is not a bug, but it was intentionally designed this way.
Radio_player.skin will only show the current station information.
Radio_player_2.skin, the one with ADD, EDIT and DELETE menu will load all of the radio presets.
As for RR crashing on Restart it is not a skin bug, it has to do with Ride Runner, it has happen to me before, but not anymore and I could not figure it out.
Make sure that you are using "iGuidance (native)" in the RRConfig and not something else.
If the problem continues, I suggest that you reinstall the skin and see if the fixes the problem.
Depending of install mode that you did for RR, your RR.ini file will be in:
C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\RideRunner\Config
C:\Program Files (x86)\RideRunner
As for the album art, I believe that CF reads the cover art for the MP3 tag.
Ride Runner reads the cover art from an image file, folder.jpg which is the default unless you are using a plugin.
If you have ever scanned your music with Windows Media Player, the program automatically creates a folder.jpg at 200 px by 200 px. The Elite 2 skin requires a 230 px by 230 px image, so that is why your cover art is being stretched out.
If you want to use your MP3 tag cover art, download the MediaArt Plug-in. If the cover art is still stretched out, this means your cover art in MP3 tag is below the 230 px by 230 px requirement.
