This might be a stupid question but here goes...

What kind of resolution do you guys run? I have been running 800x600 which is the lowest I can go on my monitor (lilliput 869). I decided to try another resolution that matched the aspect ratio of the intended 800x480 this skin was designed for....the only other resolution with that aspect ratio was 1024x768. RR with elite2 now looks perfect, but everything outside of it (normal windows 7 interface) is too small to use. Windows has an option to adjust the size of the system font used throughout every program and icons as well, and this works great, except that it screws skin. It makes the font waaay to big inside of RR.

I primary use is through RR, but occasionally I'd like to use the normal windows interface for stuff like tuning and logging the car. But 800x600 is too small for doing stuff like that.

I run 800x600 and have set fonts and icons large on windows. Elite looks just fine but I definitely updated the ini file to 800x600.

To me most things are usable at this resolution.

The only issue I have with 800x600 is GMPC does not embed properly. Other than that, everything else in RR it works perfect. I'm going to try 1024x768 to see if that helps GMPC.

Hmm GMPC embeds fine for me at 800x600 skin resolution. always has in RR and CF

I'm using 1280x800 on my test rig, and everything scales fine for me with elite2.

I don't use GMPC so I can't test that.

Attached is a short video of the issues I have with embedding.



30sec mark - GMPC did not embed properly and when trying to exit, that greay screen is what I get and have to "x" it like a standard windows program.

40sec mark - Notice the browser top bar is completely transparent, I believ eit should be the same black bar with media details.

1min mark - Maybe it's the type of DVD but the menu is completely non responsive.


If anyone has any ideas on what I need to do to fix any of these issues, please post, I would love to know. Thanks!

I've tested it, it's really nice but there are some little bugs:
- some buttons are bugged when clicking no show the blue layer
- contacts button doesn't work for me
- on the istruction you say "copy the 2 skin files and the 2 PNG files into the elite folder" but only one skin file is on the rar, is missing the incoming call skin

by the way keep up the good work
