What I was thinking was using the iGuidance_wide skin only without the top set of buttons (forgot what those were atm). None of the iGuidance buttons work for Garmin anyway so basically a bottom row of buttons to go back to the main menu and for music control.

This possible? Point me in the direction of how/where to do it? I tried messing around in the new skin editor .71 but Vista is giving it the beat down so I'm loading XP in a virtual machine to mess with it.

No biggie. That doesn't solve the issue of how to implement it in DFX though.

So I've created new .skin files (Garmin_WIDE.skin - based loosely off the IGuidance_WIDE) which allow more screen area for the Garmin app. Also removed the buttons which don't offer any function to Garmin (which was basically all of them for now). Edited the exectbl.ini with the following lines (section listed above the line):

however being the total noob to skin editing whenever I run RR and make a button for Garmin and then push said button, it loads the skin editor...

clues? Garmin seems to embed fine...I've just run into a road block with this skin editing issue.

I am trying to get freefone to work with my motorola q. I am on Verizon. I have a bluetooth dongle that goes through Widcomm's audio gateway. Is there a way to change the comport on freefone? Also what other things do I have to do to get it to work?

Getting a phone to work with the PC is something I gave up on long ago.. I just use a parrot bluetooth device (google it) hard wired into the the sound system in my car. I would think that you would have better luck posting this in the FreePhone thread, as it really is not a skin issue.

Cam...

I just recently tried to do this same thing with my XV6800 pocket pc. no love. as of yet, there are no software solutions to truely run your computer via your phone. I tried the "remote control" program and it wouldnt even install on a friends phone which they said it would work.

I was looking at the text file for freefone and can't find the comport like the standalone version. Is that something I can change in digitalfx?
