Thx, but on my home PC i see "Weather" :/
I am using iGuidance UMPC 4.0, RR 11-2-07 (but I downloaded the new .exe 670 KB), and DigitalFX 3.0 (of course)
When I click save location I get the dialog box (Current Location) with the info on where I am at and the save button. When I click save the window goes away. When I go through the same proccess in iGuidance (stand alone UMPC) after I click save in the "Current Location" dialog box a second dialog box (Add to Favorites) comes up and I am able to Edit the name of the location or simply click OK to save.
So long story short, I cant get it to work in RR.
I search around a bit for this and had a look at the .skin file myself but I dont see why this is not working.
Alright. I have hacked around with this for a few minutes and found a "work around".
I commented out this line like so
and added this lineCode:
This will go straight to savign the location (not bring up the current location info)Code:
This works okay, but it would be nice if it worked properly the other way. ex. Bring up the info and then click save and bring up the dialog to edit the name and/or just save it.
I have settle on this:
If you press "save location" it will just bring up the "Add to favorites" and you can do so (it works). If you press and hold "save location" it will bring up the current location dialog (selecting save still does nothing).Code:
It works, Lew
Good info. Thanks.
I'm trying to get my SN working and have some questions:
1. when I enter a onskinstart command line in rrconfig, DFX menus button's don't get text and don't switch to their respective functions. I noted that there's a exectbl file within the DFX skin folder, does this file have to have the additional onskinstart command listed in it? Or must I somehow append the command to the one already listed.
2. Similarly, if I want to have the SN send commands (to say, switch to a different screen) where do I place those?
What in the world is a "SN" - Snot Nose?
But yeah, you can't have onskinstart in two places; add your new command to the back of DFX's.
SN = Space Navigator.....
best idea is keep everything in the DFX exectbl, look for the onskinstart line in there, and add your bit to the end of it divided by ||.
remove any lines you have addd to another exectbl and just use John's 1 inside his skin folder.
as for any cmds you want to add , add to the same file, would be best on a separate line.
Is there a listing of commands the RR / DFX would respond too?
ie: if I send a command named "Audio" would RR/DFX translate that into loading the Audio screen?
Skincommands.txt in the RR folder.
