Try that here in Texas... We have that humid heat.
Good Lord John!! About the time I think there is nothing you could possibly add to this skin, you do! I love the idea of the brightness adjustment!! I had to replace my monitor, the last one had hardware brightness buttons on the front of the screen. The new one is in some hard to get to menu so I've just been turning it off at night when I'm not looking at it. your gamma adjustment sounds perfect.
Not sure if I'll use the Fast User Switching now that Blue's media is about out but that would have been something I would have loved before. Might be interesting to setup users as "moods". Different music, backgrounds, colors etc. Look forward to playing with that!
I saw that this question was asked in post #1056, but I couldn't find where it was ever answered. Is there an easy way of getting the clock to show up in the XM skin? It really bugs me having to switch to the main skin to see the time. Thanks for any help!

Haha... To be honest I am from North East PA, Scranton to be exact (yes the office). I moved here for the GF... It sucks! It's 115 every day. If I had a choice it would be anchorage alaska. My favorite place on earth. Thanks for the reply. Have been reluctant to DL the beta, I though there was an issue with the slider, I must have not been doing all my homework. Again the skin looks amazing. I got to "show off" the Carputer to some relatives and friends yesterday. It still never gets old when they here that it is all a computer under my seat and the skin is running in windows, created by a few brilliant people for no profit. Thanks again.
PS.. Pain in the A*& to get this working? Visteon HDZ300 HD Radio
Alrighty...Third post in one hour! I am debating on gettin me some fancy HD radio. I am seeing issues with "mitch's" cable/code and DFX3. Im sure when I DL the "RR Beta Weather Fixed" I will have some work do as I have read about issues. Would I first apply the weather fix beta RR or "Mitch's" RR update for the HD radio? If anyone has any isnight it would be great.. Thanks as always.
I have a problem with media copy, just like few others people here (after a quick search)
Media copy recognized the drive letter of my usb drive but unable to get into it.
It works fine if I use explorer. Some usb drive works fine with media copy, some don't, but all of them works fine with explorer.
This happen on 2 separate machine, so definitely not hardware issue.
I turned off "allow indexing service to index this disk for fast file searching" on both machine.
I haven't tried to turn it back on yet again, I'll report back here if it works.
Anyone have a solution?
edit:
I tried on the third machine (full blown xp install, no optimization whatsoever), same problem.
also indexing file service is not off on this machine.
problematic drive:
transcend 8gb sdhc w/ usb reader
generic 128mb usb flash drive
no problem:
seagate freeagent 120gb external usb drive
The media copy thing in the skin is pretty buggy. I wrote it a long time ago, and it needs a serious overhaul to really make it useful. After I get this version of the skin out, it is something I absolutely intend on updating.
This is the new GPS Stats screen. It has a lot of info and some neat little tricks that I cooked up
The bar on the right is centered when the vehicle is in steady motion. If you brake, the ball will move down, if you accelerate, it will move up. How much it moves is dependent on how fast you accelerate or brakeMore eye candy than anything, as I needed something on the right hand side of the screen to square off the skin
Believe it or not, the turn signals on the "dashboard" actually workIf you are going in one direction, they will stay off, if you are on a curve, or turning the car, one of them will light up, to indicate the way the vehicle is turning... More eye candy, and absolutely useless in a real sense hahah! But I had the space, and figured what the hell... hahahah.
Neither of these require any special hardware, as they are based on information from GPS. If you have RR set up with an active GPS com port, they will work.
The rest of the stuff on the screen is pretty standard, the bar on the left will scroll up and down to indicate your altitude. The compass at the top spins left and right to show the direction you are heading, and the heading degrees right below that. As there was no space for song title and artist info at the top, it is on the bottom, in the "Odometer area" on this skin. Let me know what you guys think of the new look for this screen.
