great work John.. i am having the font issue.. i know this has been brought up before, just not sure if anyone found a solution for it.... I even installed 4 fonts explicitly, didn't do any good..
I do not understand where the problem is here at all...... The installer is a standard skin, and has NO hard coded paths at all. All paths for anything in the skin use either $RRPATH$ or $SKINPATH$ that is called from the RR.exe. During testing with the installer, I installed the skin to k"\RRTemp\ and all worked as it should.
Mitch did a great job of fixing audio switching for what was being used (radio, MP3, Satellite ect). The problem is that it is build off of the 11/02/07 souce code, and this is before the dynamic sliders and a lot of other new RR features were added.
As far as getting HD radio to work, this is not a skin relates issue. I use the HD radio skin here, and it does work well with Mitch's cable, and the HD hardware. If it is not working, it is not because of a skin, but is because of incorrect ini settings, non-registered Dll's or something else.
It's kind of like blaming Microsoft because you open a Word document, and the fonts are the wrong size or are alligned incorrectly.![]()

It could be a bunch of things not specifically related to RR. Your GPS receiver could be causing the problem, it could also be another piece of hardware causing the issue. If you're using Xport, it has a feature that will help with that issue.
Maybe the problem is I have no playlist that says [searchresults]?
With 3.0 and all the previous versions, you clicked on 'browser' which brought up a list of folders in the music directory. You click on the name of the group, then the album name which brought up a list of songs (Without the numbers and junk, like it does now in this version). Click on a song and it started to play. You could click on the next or prev track and it actually went there. THIS is what I want.![]()
Hmm, I see a clock in post 1752, so apparently not everybody is having the no logo problem a couple of us have mentioned. Any thoughts?
Okay, you need to create a folder called playlists somewhere. Then in the music settings portion of RRconfig in Playlist Path point to the playlist folder you have just created. Then in the music settings portion of RRConfig make sure .m3u is included as an audio file type. And just for good measure you might want to go ahead and create a playlist to make sure things are working.
Thanks. I went ahead and reinstalled both Roadrunner and the skin and now it works fine. It was kind of weird because I had the same problem on both my desktop and carputer.
Having the no logo problem also.
And I have the voice enabled and it says more jibberish now then DFX3 did. Everytime I go to the main menu, it rattles off a bunch of nonsense. lol. A few of the other buttons when clicked, it will say wierd stuff. Everytime I click on an artist name in browser mode, it says "RM list action" three times !! The browser button says "RM Checklist" and the Clear Playlist button says" RM on song start, reset stars, RM rated O" lol Very weird !!
To all the guys that are having the logo issue:
Are you by any chance using Mitch's version of RR? I was having the issue, and switching form Mitch's to the latest version of RR fixed it for me.
Also, John,
I run in 640x480. That doesn't seem to play nice with some of the new stuff, For instance, the color chooser won't pick colors along the top row. There are also visual side effects like certain menus not lining up right. I think these are executed by an external script?
Is there an easy solution, or do I need to run 800x600?
