I totally agree with this.. John did an excellent job putting all those goodies together for noobs.. Personally, I don't mind either way since I've been following the whole forum for a while, i can install the goodie one by one without too much of trouble and ask op for help, but for new comers, they gonna have to do a hell of reading to make each individual plug in work. Less load for John, but more hell for both plugin developers and noobs...

Actually, there are hundreds of different layouts, and unfortunately no way to incorporate all of them into the skin. Do not be discouraged though.......

To totally customize it to what you want, is actually pretty easy.

Have a look at the Menu-xxxx.txt files. In this case the Menu-Compass.txt and the (soon coming) Menu-AlbumArt.txt files. You can open them in any text editor and experiment. You can take the compass line from one of the .txt files, and paste it in any of the others. Then its just a matter of experimenting with the sizes to get the layout you want.

Here is the line for the album art to show in the center. Open the Menu-Logo.txt file, and replace the logo line with this one:
J,245,161,308,283

Thats all there is to it, just make sure you have the right menu layout chosen in the skin settings, reload the skin and there you go, instant album art in the center of the main menu's.

TIP: The word "Album" on the main menu screens is a hidden reload skin command. You can alter the positions a bit in the text file, save it, and tap album to see the changes on the fly.

been searching awhile and looking at the radio skin, the band button doesn't work. Is there a way I can fix it? is it RADIOBAND to change it from FM to AM ?

The band works for me, but as a work around you can go to direct tune and just enter 580 or any AM station and the HD tuner will auto switch bands.

The GPS antenna is working, cus I get speed and altitude on that screen.

In DFX, that whole area where the labels are has a hidden "locate" command - click it.

So I found out how to change between mph and kph in the gauges screen. In the old gauges screen there were visable mph, and kph buttons. In the new gauges screen these are hidden buttons. The top left corner of the transparent part of the screen, underneath altitude, above the satellites guage, is the mph button, the top right corner of the transparent part of the screen, underneath longitude, and above the CPU gauge is the kph button. Hope this helps. This is not covered in the help files as far as I can tell.

Thank you! I tachfuly tried to muddle this question on...It's out there, but for DFX3. I remembered that old button but in the new one I was having trouble. It's funny, I installed on my desktop and in the car without making any changes, and on the desktop it's MPH and Feet, and in the car KPH and Meters... Thanks for posting this.

Okay , this a great skin and i really love the music DB addition !

There is only one thing i cant solve

when i click on "play this album" (in the rating popup) winamp comes up with a question where to find the playlist...

it works on my vista desktop PC but in my XP carpc i cant get it to work like it should be...

Think i checked all options and they are the same on both installs, is there something else i have to check?

yes, after a little reinstalling of Winamp and roadrunner incl. fx4.0 something changed .
after click "play this album" RR or winamp load empty playlist....

everything else works perfect but i need the "play this album" option, because after a shuffle session sometimes i wanna hear the whole album of a track that i was listening

any other suggestions?
